In the early 1960s, the Rat Pack starred in Ocean’s Eleven, the Limited Test Ban Treaty brought above-ground nuclear weapons testing to an end in Nevada and the Las Vegas Sun newspaper office burned to the ground. Oh, and Dino’s started getting Las Vegans nice and drunk. On March 29, Dino’s celebrates 50 years of boozing and the launch of its website, dinoslv.com, with drink specials starting at 9 p.m., karaoke (with the famed Danny G.) at 10 p.m. and, of course, the Drunk of the Month announcement. It’s probably not you, but it’s never too early to start campaigning for next month.

This weekend, the Rok will leave the building. Rok Vegas is slated to close April 1, three and a half years after it started slinging cocktails and welcoming celebrities at NY-NY. The nightclub is scheduled to be replaced by a music venue in early spring. Stop by this weekend to bid it adieu, or just rock out for a moment in its honor.
