A fire on a charter bus sent two people to University Medical Center and caused $70,000 damage Saturday night, officials said.

Clark County firefighters responded at 10:05 p.m. Saturday to 11945 W. Charleston Blvd., where they found the bus on fire, officials said. That location is next to the West Career and Technical Academy.

Firefighters contained most damage to an area near where a tire had ruptured, officials said. The condition of the two people transported to the hospital was not immediately known.
