Chace Stanback will get to put on his UNLV jersey one more time.

Stanback, a senior small forward, has been selected to participate in the Hampton Hotels Men’s 3-Point Contest in New Orleans at Final Four weekend.

The competition is on Thursday, March 29, and is part of the State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-point Championships. The final roster of 24 participants will be released shortly, but some other student-athletes in either the 3-Point or Slam Dunk contests include Duke’s Miles Plumlee, Missouri’s Marcus Denmon and Northwestern’s John Shurna.

Stanback shot 45.5 percent behind the three-point line this year, the sixth-best single-season percentage (minimum 40 attempts) in UNLV history. He’s a career 38.7 percent shooter behind the arc, which is just outside the top 10 in school history.
