It’s the official start of Spring Break today as cast members of “Jersey Shore” and “The Challenge: Battle of the Exes” join forces in a takeover of the Palms. MTV’s three music cable channels will be poolside despite our cool temperatures for what will certainly be one of the biggest parties of the year broadcast to a global audience of more than half a billion homes.
It’s the second consecutive year for the Palms to host MTV’s Spring Break, but the alliance between the casino resort began in 2002 with “The Real World 12” and continued with “Summer on the Strip” in 2005 and the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.
The MTV celebrities who will meet and greet college students and host exclusive screening parties are Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Deena Nicole Cortese and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from “Jersey Shore” and Leroy and Naomi from “Battle of the Exes.”
There also will be appearances by Amy Acker and Kristin Connolly hosting their movie “The Cabin in the Woods” before its April 13 release. Lauren Hutchinson from “Savage U” and Chanel and Drama from Rob Dyrdek’s “Fantasy Factory” also will party at the Palms.
The lineup of artists is explosive: Young Jeezy, B.o.B., Dev, Big Sean, araabMUZIK and U.K. boy band the Wanted. It’s a three-day, nonstop marathon of party fun, and here’s our Royal Robin Rundown of events:

“This year’s lineup of pool parties and live performances will take it to another level after a successful first year, which brought out thousands of college students. The Palms is thrilled to host MTV Spring Break 2012, and once again the Palms will be the ultimate Spring Break destination,” Palms President Joseph Magliarditi said.
