Eight places to live near the Strip

The building boom that transformed the Las Vegas Valley also saw an explosion of new residential construction on and around the Strip. The ensuing economic crash slowed that growth and saw many properties go into foreclosure, resulting in a glut of condominiums for sale.

The Martin, spun off from the failed Panorama Towers project, recently completed a $3 million remodel that aims to make the property stand out from its neighbors on the Strip.

Here’s a look at several options for those looking to live near the Strip:

    • Veer Towers

Located in CityCenter, the two towers that make up Veer tilt at opposing angles, making for a distinctive architectural presence that isn’t replicated anywhere else on the Strip.

A total of 335 units are packed into the 37-story building, with a 552-square-foot studio starting in the mid $300,000 range and penthouses costing upwards of $2 million.

    • Mandarin Oriental

Another all-glass tower at CityCenter that soars above the Strip, the Mandarin Oriental is part hotel, part condo. The upper floors of the 47-story building contain 225 residences, with prices ranging from $800,000 for a two-bedroom unit all the way up to $7 million for a penthouse.

    • The Martin

Originally the third tower of the Panorama Towers project, The Martin was bought out of foreclosure in 2009 and rebranded.

The 45-story building, situated west of Interstate 15 across from CityCenter, has 374 units, with prices ranging from the mid-$200,000s to more than $1.5 million.

    • Turnberry Towers

Tucked just east of the Strip near the stalled Fontainebleau resort, Turnberry Towers contains a total of 636 units spread across two 45-story towers.

    • Palms Place

Combining elements of a hotel, spa and residences, the Palms Place tower also provides convenient access to the gambling and nightlife offered next door at the Palms resort. The 47-story high-rise contains a total of 599 studios, one-bedroom and penthouse units.

    • Trump International Hotel Las Vegas

Another part hotel, part condominium, Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, near the north end of the Strip, features 1,232 suites and 50 penthouses in a 64-story high rise.

    • Sky

Located next to Circus Circus on the Strip, Sky Las Vegas includes 409 units ranging in price from about $500,000 to more than $5 million.

    • Allure Las Vegas, a 41-story residential high-rise condominium.

      Allure

Located near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard on the north end of the Strip, the 41-story building has one-, two- and three-bedroom units, with prices starting in the high $100,000s.
