I’m not sticking up for Rush Limbaugh. What he did was crude, cruel and wrong! Our own Vice President Joe Biden has said (more than once) embarrassing things for our country, but have you ever heard Sen. Harry Reid mention it? No! Embarrassing moments happen if one opens their mouth often. Sen. Reid is not without fault.
It brings out the lack of character of a person who is complaining about another.

Higher gas prices. Biden says "It a big F'in' Deal"
Just remember when Obama called you the enemy, that you are unpatriotic, that you are religious and tote a gun, that you are ignorant, that you are to dumb to understand his mandates that you must follow.
Go to Obama.com to see if you are on his Enemies list.
Shake it off. Stop complainin'. Stop grumblin'. Stop cryin'. Start Taxin'.
Sen Reid is history. He'll retire a multi-millionaire thanks to a life of crony politics.
The funniest gaffe he made was during his debate with Angle. When she asked him how a public servant affords a multi-millionaire suite in Watergate, Wash DC? He said with a straight face: Hard work and good investments.
Carmine A. DiFazio
Harry Reid stated back in 2008 that he was impressed by 'light-skinned' Obama's lack of 'Negro dialect' so I imagine that statement would tend to be one of his more embarrassing moments.

Ola - There has never in history been more of a fool and an embarrassment than what we have in the White House for 4 years by the name of Barack Obama a Hawaiian Surfer, and South-side Chicago liar and first class con man. Now look at these extreme radical liberal democratsb lined up by his side. Fools.
::::::::::::::::::
"It brings out the lack of character of a person who is complaining about another."
You mean like you just did Norris?????
Yes Norris you are a fool because you can't say anything wrong about Obama or Reid, only bad things about Bush or Cheny are allowed! And be sure to call them funny names when doing so.
This letter is warped logic.
Basically, if the titular head and main mouth piece of the Tea/Republican Party is called out for things that are true, then find out who it was that said it, gather the pitchforks and torches, assemble the mob of mindless blatherers and ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK whoever the hell said it. Doesn't matter if what was said is true or not. Just go into TORA! TORA! TORA! mode.
Tea/Republicans don't talk about the heart of the issue, they just find ways to flip everything around.
In the Tea/Republican parallel universe without logic, the rhetoric and the anger is more important than the truth and civility.
Senator Reid just called it like it is.
Rush Limbaugh is going down. The pressure has mounted against him. And it is continuing now.
Why? Because not one single Tea/Republican Party politician (nor any of the four Presidential candidate wannabes) have called him out for when he savagely and relentlessly attacking Ms. Fluke, a Georgetown College student, who was only guilty of standing up for her rights as an American woman and testifying about womens health issues regarding contraception. She did not deserve being verbally assaulted for three full days on his radio show. This vehement vitriole was not only addressing the issue at hand, but that poor excuse for a radio show host turned it into unwarranted personal attacks trying to demean her; an attempt to totally dehumanize and destroy her character also! He went way beyond the pale with "wanting videos taken of her having sex," that she's a "prostitute," she's a "slut," totally hate filled speak you wouldn't say to ANY woman at all, even in a bar/saloon. Why did he do that? Because she was a woman. And she spoke out. In Rush's stupid world, that marked her as a target for relentless and mindless attack.
Since the neo-conservatives seem to be clearly afraid of him and his perceived mouth power, the American people have no alternative except to step forward and take action. Hit Rush in the wallet and hit him hard. All indications show he don't like this thing he set into motion. Oh well. Suck it up, Rush. You're going down. People are simply tired of this. Because it's going to happen again if something ain't done now.
Mark my words, if nothing gets done now, there will be more attacks like this against women. Look at his past, people. For just about thirty years, he has said numerous things to disparage women and treat them like second class citizens. So it's no surprise.
Enough is enough. The women in this country want blood. And I guarantee they are going to get it at the voting booths in November 2012. Don't be surprised to see a lot less Tea/Republican Party politicians in power after those elections.
Politicians choose Rush's side? BAM! They made the decision that they are now also targets of the worst wrath you will ever see by women at the voting booths.
Colley says about Bill Maher-Obama and the million dollars of dirty money that Obama said he will keep.
"Mark my words, if nothing gets done now, there will be more attacks like this against women. Look at his (Bill Maher) past, people. For just about thirty years, he (Bill Maher) has said numerous things to disparage women and treat them like second class citizens. So it's no surprise.
Enough is enough. The women in this country want blood. And I guarantee they are going to get it at the voting booths in November 2012."

ColinFromVegas - "In the Tea/Republican parallel universe without logic, the rhetoric and the anger is more important than the truth and civility."
Right on target with that comment. Plant the seed of doubt without a shred of truth. One reason why Birthers still insist Obama is a "Manchurian Candidate."
O'Reilly - "So I'm going to say -- and I can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, I think I will be able to -- that this was run out of the White House. The White House ran this."
"Social conservatism and neoconservatism have revived authoritarian conservatism, and not for the better of conservatism or American democracy. True conservatism is cautious and prudent. Authoritarianism is rash and radical. American democracy has benefited from true conservatism, but authoritarianism offers potentially serious trouble for any democracy." -- John W. Dean Conservatives Without Conscience
"Many conservatives, particularly those who are clearly authoritarians, are not aware of their illogical, contradictory, and hypocritical thinking. If made cognizant of it, they either rationalize it away, neglect to care, or attack those who reveal their human weaknesses. Because such thinking seems to be a reality of contemporary conservatism, anyone operating from a logical mind or has the inclination toward a reasoned judgment will have a problem with this."
- John Dean Conservatives Without Conscience
Vernos quotes John Dean, who was deeply involved in events leading up to the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent Watergate scandal cover-up. He was referred to as "master manipulator of the cover up" by the FBI. He pleaded guilty to a felony in exchange for becoming a key witness for the prosecution. This ultimately resulted in a reduced prison sentence, which he served at Fort Holabird outside Baltimore, Maryland.
These are the type of people Vernos gets his quotes from.

Harry Reid's negative rating is still much higher than his positive rating.
He barely beat the worst candidate that I have seen.
The only way he did that was because big corporations on the strip put a gun to their employees' heads and shoved them and pushed them and harassed them and bussed them to vote for Harry Reid.
He only won because big corporations helped him to win.
All this is hilarous because the 99% crowd worships him along with the associated kool-aid crowd.
Why? Because while he is in is big corporations' pockets he also will throw them some scraps off the table to keep his puppies happy.
Chumps!!!!!
This strange letter is more proof that a contagious brain disease had infected the teabag nation. Symptoms include severe conservative disorder, making it similar to another GOP virus, Obama Derangement Syndrome, a horrible illness that leaves victims in a zombie state.
The writer rambles on incoherently, first admitting that woman-hater and four-time divorcee Rush was wrong, and then connecting the imaginary dots to include Vice President Biden and Harry Reid in the mess. This is right-wing lunacy distilled down to its purest form.
Theorists believe the deadly virus began with the neocons, when Dick Cheney said Al-Qaeda was in it last throes and that there was no doubt Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction, then passed the fantasy to what once were sane conservatives.
Harry is plain and simple an embarrassment to America. It's time for him and the rest of the dinosaurs to get the boot.
LastThroes states- "Theorists believe the deadly virus began with the neocons, when Dick Cheney said Al-Qaeda was in it last throes and that there was no doubt Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction, then passed the fantasy to what once were sane conservatives."
The clip below shows at least 10 democrats back in the 1990's and 2000's stating Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. The intelligence gatherers were giving both congress and the White House this information.

"Embarrassing moments happen if one opens their mouth often."
Inman -- only if one lives life by other people's opinions. Never forget it's part of the price we all pay for free speech!
VernosB -- good quote, although I prefer Barry Goldwater on conservatism. Sobering.
For the rest of you, who can't see to post without name calling and/or turning every Discussion here into your constricted Republicans vs. Democrats/right vs. left/conservatives vs. liberals -- it's just so childish
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." -- Oscar Wilde
I still stand by my words.
This is what I typed in my last comment:
"Tea/Republicans don't talk about the heart of the issue, they just find ways to flip everything around."
Some of the comments after mine still prove this is germane.
Tea/Republicans have no message at all, so they resort to deflection, pointing fingers elsewhere, defending the indefensible, and counter-attack savagely and viciously with a war of words...empty words that have nothing to do with anything. They want people to ignore the problem, and direct their attention somewhere else.
THIS is exactly the reason why the current composition of the extreme and radical Tea/Republican Party is simply going to disappear from the political landscape after the November 2012 elections.
Keep defending Rush and point fingers at Senator Reid, Vice President Biden, Bill Maher, the cat in the hat, the fairy godmother, don't matter who, just make something up.
It's like the boy who cried wolf. You keep screaming it from the rooftops. Then people see there ain't no damn wolves. Really dumb.
Get a message and a sane platform to run on, Tea/Republicans. Because we're tired of the constant B.S. thrown our way that gets us nowhere but back to the useless Bush Jr. years where only the very rich prevail and get more and more and more and more and more.
But go ahead on with yer bad selves there. Keep up the deflection and empty promises. It will just ensure the utter destruction of that entire political party. Not from without, but from within...sinking the Tea/Republican Party into irrelevance for at least another generation or so.
President Obama for four more years. AND a majority in the House and the Senate. That's the only thing that can fix this thing called America.
Killer states "For the rest of you, who can't see to post without name calling and/or turning every Discussion here into your constricted Republicans vs. Democrats/right vs. left/conservatives vs. liberals -- it's just so childish"
It's campaign season and many think this election is critically important in determining what direction the country should head these next four years. I don't blame anyone who wants to put their two cents worth out there whether it's a republican, independent or democrat.
Crazy day when liberals spend all day defending Bill Maher, Obama, and too big to fail Harry Reid
Last week's GOP clown show summarized --
Limbaugh, after his regular morning dose of Oxycontin:
"She's a slut! A prostitute! Who I'd love to watch on YouTube."
Romney, cowering in the corner:
"Not the kind of language I would've used.
But just to show how severely conservative I am, if elected I'd bomb Iran and would not hesitate to send your sons and daughters to die in that hellhole. (My sons, however, are exempt from military service based on our sacred religious faith that includes magic underwear, general cowardice, and strange secret rituals such as the baptism of the dead.)"
I officially rest my case.
They did it again. Proved what I was saying.
I guess the thinking is that you don't get the word rammed out there, and the truth is handed to you, and you don't like the truth, then throw more garbage out there and hope someone believes it.
People are sick and tired of the word games coming from the Tea/Republicans.
The message is not there, so the rhetoric is thrown. And if someone refutes it? They just double down with more and more and more.
When you can't defend the mouthpiece and titular head of the Tea/Republican Party for what he did in the past, just deflect the topic and think of something else.
Everybody sees through it. Can't hide it with mindless right wing blather.
Blather that disregards the issue of Rush Limbaugh's attack on women that happens again and again.
The silence from the righties just tells me they accept Rush's behavior and simply don't want to face up to it. Their defense of his despicable actions is readily apparent.
But don't try to convince me. I'm not involved.
Talk to all the women in this country. It has been a proven fact through polls, that of the single women voters, don't matter if they are independent, Democratic or Republican, they ALL are a majority against this Tea/Republican Party war on women.
Talk to them and try to convince them. I'm insignificant. I'm just pointing out the error of your thinking.
But I seriously hope you disregard what I'm saying. I'd absolutely love for the Tea/Republican Party continue on and destroy themselves.
I'd like offer this letter as People's Exhibit A on issue of whether we ever really grow up. It it is evidence that we do not. For some reason "But, Mom, he did it too!" never worked with my Mother. Yet here it is in this letter and in many comments. Guess she raised me wrong....
I officially rest my case.
They did it again. Proved what I was saying.
I guess the thinking is that you don't get the word rammed out there, and the truth is handed to you, and you don't like the truth, then throw more garbage out there and hope someone believes it.
People are sick and tired of the word games coming from the OWS Democrats
--------
Check out Obama telling the working poor how high gas prices are good for you and to suck it up for the good of the Democrat party.
Check out Obama telling the underemployed how 25 million without jobs is good for the faux recovery and to suck it up for the good of the Democrat party
Meanwhile a bunch of liberal hacks are worried about free abortion pills and Rush
Where are their priorities
It's the hypocrisy Leric. Everyone knows that democrats are desperate to find ways to divert attention away from the debt, deficit spending and joblessness. Spending now 8 days on Rush Limbaugh is a little much for everyone when you consider that using ill-advised language happens on both sides. Kirsten Powers, a left-leaning writer, wrote her second article on the subject this week titled "Limbaugh Critics Ignoring Liberal Mysogyny". In her article she writes:
"Many of the professional left seem incapable of distinguishing between a few blog posts and comments condemning left-wing misogyny and a full-scale war to remove someone from their job. This really shouldn't be so hard to grasp: If you hate misogyny and sexism in the media, then react to the consistent and repeated misogyny of men on the left with the same fervor that you have reacted to Rush Limbaugh's sickening outbursts."
Even left-leaning women writers see the hypocrisy from liberal democrats. When your own sides starts to write about it then it's time for the left to understand that it's noticeable to everyone else.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/20...
Joe,
After a while the liberal hypocrisy becomes the subject and not Rush. That is where we are now and Kirsten Powers is essentially warning her own liberal audience that the subject is now liberal hypocrisy.
I agree with Jim Reid's point. There have and are some disturbing things going with the diminished Occupy movement. They back the hacker group "Anonymous" who attempts to disrupt government agencies, steals credit card information and hacks into large businesses. Talk about anti-American. See the link below, it's the Occupy Las Vegas Facebook page. See the person with the lat name of Haefer. Now see the second link below titled "UNLV student arrested by FBI for hacking in support of Wikileaks. It's the **same** person. .....and Obama and Pelosi have reached out to these folks?

"It's campaign season and many think this election is critically important..."
RefNV -- understood, and I do respect you pointing that out. But some who post here are just so tiring with their name calling and labels no matter what the topic. As I said it's the price we all pay for free speech. Even tolerating the buffoons lacking in any hint of robust intellects.
"If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." -- Eric Blair, aka George Orwell
GW Bush was the GOP's standard bearer until his eight years of misery ended in Jan 2009, only forty months ago. However, after 80-something republican presidential debates W's name has been mentioned less ofter than transvaginal probes or tax shelters in the Cayman Islands.
Hmmm. I wonder why? Could it be the collapsed housing market Bush left behind, or the zero job growth over his two terms, or perhaps the two mismanaged wars that has made him the President Who Shall Not Be Uttered?
Baggers are in a permanent state of denial. To them, the world as we know it began the day Obama took office.
JUST IN
"On Thursday, Limbaugh's program was practically devoid of paid advertisements, according to reports. Of the 86 spots that aired, 77 were "free public service announcements donated by the Ad Council." Seven ads were from companies "in the process of pulling their spots."
Rush Limbaugh had better stock up on Oxycontin now as his propagada gravy train has been derailed.
LastThroes,
Bush knew business and the economy and had an averaged unemployment rate of around 5.5%. Obama knows socialism and his anti-business approach has stalled job growth to the extent where the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has determined that at this pace we won't reach 5.5% unemployment again until 2017! Youth unemployment, for those between 16 and 19, is 23.8 percent. Black youth unemployment is 34.7 percent. Counting only those Americans who are actively looking for work, the jobless rate is 8.3 percent, just like it was in January. But counting those who stopped looking for work within the last year, the rate is 9.8 percent. And counting all of the above, plus those who settled for part-time jobs, the rate is 14.9 percent.
Not a pretty picture LastThroes and after nearly four years Americans want someone who knows business and will work on getting the economy going again instead of adding entitlements we can't afford.

Irrelevant speech is as unnecessary as irrelevant question for the olympic gold medalist "you are satisfied now?". Lack of time makes lack of compromises; then lack of solidarity is one tough question to share. Dyadic approach can move steps for both and easier to continue to get an approval in discussion.

And Bill Clinton, the manure was as bad in the house. But these senators should have this vote etched on their tombstones.
JeffFromVegas, I have no idea the context or relationship between all those names and any bill. Can you be more specific? What bill? What year? etc....
Whiny teabaggers have selective memories.
The reality is that GW Bush inherited a huge budget surplus from Bill Clinton. Then, eight years later, he left office with no new jobs in the private sector, a collapsed housing market, record unemployment, bin Laden living not in a cave but in a safe house, two mismanaged wars that we'll still be paying trillions for years from now, and the Wall Street meltdown requiring a bailout of the too-big-to-fail banks.
Those are the facts and anyone who doubts it needs to have their head examined.
What a joke of a letter and response from the right wing commentators. Rush limbo is a gift that will keep giving for independents and Democrats. Though I will give in to the fact that limbo is not the only one to EMBARASS himself. The title of the most prone to gaffes goes to George W Bush.
To think that rush limbo would play the roll of the pied piper in leading the Republican/ tea party into the sea is awesome.
To all the Corporate welfare enabling and economy killing future traders on wall street defending conservative activists
You continued defense of and desperate attempt to deflect the public focus off rush limbo disgusting personal attack on Sara fluke. By calling her a slut and prostitute while asking her to make a sex video for his perverted viewing pleasure is only digging yourselves a even bigger electoral hole for the Republican/ tea party next fall. KEEP IT UP YOU WILL ALL BE RECONIZED NEXT FALL WITH A SPECIAL BARACK OBAMA KEY CHAIN. Or maybe help your cause by admitting Rush limbo was just wrong and move on.
Conservative America's slavish devotion to fox news a foreign owned business is obvious. I will stick with supporting American owned news sources.
RefNV - "Vernos quotes John Dean, who was deeply involved in events leading up to the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent Watergate scandal cover-up. He was referred to as "master manipulator of the cover up" by the FBI."
The point being, that a man who was imprisoned for his crimes, recognizes just how nasty and absurd his party became. His book, Conservatives Without Conscience, was written to expose how unstable conservative authoritarians truly are. Their ideology is basically illogical and flawed.
Jimbo Reid.
You seem to spend an inordinate amount of your time reading the Las Vegas Sun. Perhaps there business model is working considering you spend more time viewing the Las Vegas Sun then that foreign owned fox news/opinion rag.

Who hasn't said something that he or she wishes they had never said. But when you are a politician and you say something you wish you hadn't.It stays with you until your dying days. Quoted over and over day after day year after year.It probably cost first President Bush the election (Clinton) with his quote "read my lips no new taxes".

Harry Reid hasn't embarrassed himself. he would not know it if he did. He has and continues to be an embarrassment to the Sate of Nevada and the people who live here and pay taxes.
From smelly (tax paying ) tourists to negro dialect to having his lips surgically attached to Obama's backside.
Notice tho, he was not here the last time his Boss came to town. Notice all the pork he is sending to other states, big banks and out of state solar companies that go bankrupt..
Being the "most powerful" senator has helped everyone but the people of Nevada...
Not to mention his parties for lobbyists telling the media you have to be open to all people and conversations... While complaining about thew GOP Super pacs...
Once again Pope Joe has posted Schillmoeller Encyclicals all over -- but those may not be identical or even congruent with Church doctrine.
Once again here is a URL to an explanation of doctrine on the point: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arch...
Hey Jojo:
I didn't try to hide from my comments, they were taken down by the moderator. I keep a copy of all posts I make -- because of the -- to use a Limbaugh "joke" --moderatornazi's penchant for removing posts that aren't profane or confrontational, I emailed it to you to see what kind of reaction you would have.
I was rather let down when your response was so mundane and pedestrian, something along the lines of "I have a big position in some kind of mumbletyjumbo and I was very busy"
I was being the ghost of Andrew Breitbart, I am sure you remember his kindness towards Teddy Kennedy and Chappaquiddick when the last of a family of MURDERED brothers died. Screw Brietbart, you and the 5 wasted Klansman on the supreme court.
Maybe, just maybe, when we get rid of the people who are still ticked off we freed the slaves (you and your type) we will re-enact laws that make you have to do an honest days work for an honest days pay. Right now people in your line of "work" are just money changers who rob from the middle and lower classes.
It is my learned opinion that people in your line of work are the types of people that have ruined country after country throughout history.
Looks like Jim Reid as unwittingly provided clarity as to why conservatives like Rush limbo are always combative and constantly belittling others. As Jim Reid posted at 5:40.
` why would I spend time with people who agree with me? Apparently conservatives are not content with themselves or being happy and have a need to seek out others to bring down to there level.
Norris.......
So you're trying to compare our GREAT SENATE
MAJORITY LEADER to rush limbaugh?
Are you completely out of your mind?
You desperate republicans are something else.
YES, republican desperation has no bounds.
Desperate republicans prove that here everyday.
But the majority of American voters already know
that republican extremeism is a cancer on our
country.
YES, it's a sickness but all that we have to do
is keep voting it OUT.
And we will, in 2012.
Our great Harry Reid already won his election,
THANK GOD.
Now, all that we have to do is re-elect our
GREAT PRESIDENT OBAMA and take back the House.
STOP REPUBLICAN EXTREMEISM IN IT'S TRACKS.
ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRATIC!!!
Hey gogo.
Who do you think Willard Romney will pick for a
running mate?
It looks like Sarah Palin will be available.
What do you think?
And gogo,
The REAL NEWS is MSNBC, of course.
There is just nowhere for me to leave my comment. It was going to be good, really.
Why do you think the paper printed this letter?
When do you think public discourse will get so bad that it will start with people beating each other, then beating their family members, vandalizing their property, rioting in front of the church they attend, molesting their kids, raping their women, and then finally killing them. You know it's going to happen. This is a strong comment, but we are so polarized that I don't see it getting better. Can you imagine if Obama looses. I never thought we'd get to this point. Did this letter really need to be published?
"This is a strong comment, but we are so polarized that I don't see it getting better"
Things are not so bad.
Things in the past were worst.
1st, we had this civil war thingy which was worst.
2nd, we had a founding father/US House member shoot and kill in a duel Alexander Hamilton another founding father and architect of the US Federal government and US Sec. of Treasury (they were best friends at one point in time).
3rd we had one US Senator beat up another US Senator on the senate floor.
It is not as bad as those things.
SgtRock:
Reconstruction was worse, IMHO than the war itself. We are still feeling the effects of the stupidity of Lincoln's successor to the White House to this day. This is not to in any way diminish the awfulness of the Civil War, that was open, horrid, and murderous.
Reconstruction was closeted, insidious and has lasted well over 100 years.
Good points yours were. I just thought this needed to be added to the mix.
Schillmoeller's claim that he is "respectful enough not to force his views on others" must be the funniest thing I've ever seen him write. Respectful. Right.
Jim Reid
Here are the examples of your lies.
(1 you stated women should not have the right to vote because they vote liberal. Then when confronted with your ugly comment you lied and said you did not post That comment later you stated you were only joking.
(2 you commented the elderly poor should not receive end of life treatment. Because it is to expensive. Surprise when confronted with this crude statement you denied ever making that statement lie #2
(3. You stated that john Kerry never filled out a form 120 that released his military service record and you stated ` trust me and old military clerk` well guess what he lied again john Kerry had in fact filled out his military form 120. Except Jim Reid said he made a mistake and did not continue to deny he lied.
All of these examples can be verified by viewing Jim Reid's comment history from Jan 8, 2012. And jumbo don't think for a second That I don't know you are trying to frustrate me by asking for examples of your lying. And then flagging my responses for removal by the moderator. Because even if my proof of you pathological lying stays up for a hour more commentators will know. Your games are so simple a caveman can do it.
Harry Reid did a great job today in his interview
on CNN.
I am proud to live in Nevada and have Harry Reid
as our great Senate Majority Leader.
YES, HARRY REID IS THE MAN!!!
KEEP GIVING EM HELL, HARRY!
Jim Reid
Judging by your reaction I hit it right on the head. You have been labeled not only as a dishonest individual. But also as a extremely negative and hateful individual as well your are condemned by your own actions not mine. So do us all a favor and slither back under that rock in San Diego and stay there.
