… And Jeremy Piven on drums

The actor plays the Bank with Bad Decisions

Jeremy Piven.

There’s a certain delightful novelty to seeing famous people do things they’re not famous for. Whether it’s Michael Cera playing bass for Mister Heavenly at House of Blues or Gisele Bündchen casting judgment in The Devil Wears Prada, celebrities seem a tad more human when they’re in the spotlight but out of their element. (Except for Bündchen, who only seems human when making idiotic comments in defense of her husband.)

This weekend, Jeremy Piven will have mere mortal status when he hits the Bank nightclub on Saturday to perform with his band Bad Decisions. Yes, everyone’s favorite neurotic Hollywood power broker, Ari Gold, is ditching the suit (probably) to pick up the sticks for a set alongside bandmates Todd Morse of The Offspring, Bryce Soderberg of Lifehouse, Jaco Caraco, who plays with Miley Cyrus, and Alex Mercier.

This isn’t Piven’s first local gig, however. The actor has taken the stage to play drums for veteran Vegas performer Lon Bronson. This Saturday, Bad Decisions will follow opener DJ Karma at the Bellagio club.
