Skeptics mused Santana’s new residency at House of Blues would essentially mirror what he’d performed for two years at the Joint. Not exactly. The cozier confines give the show new warmth and energy, so much so that the scaled-down production value barely registers. Order a drink, then pivot slightly and find yourself just dozens of feet from a real rock legend. House of Blues, 632-7600.
