Pedestrian killed in accident after leaving Electric Daisy Carnival ID’d by coroner

The man who died Saturday from injuries he suffered earlier in the week after being hit by a car while leaving the Electric Daisy Carnival has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Florida resident Olivier Hennessy.

Hennessy, 31, was hit by a truck around 4:31 a.m. June 11 as he and two friends attempted to cross Las Vegas Boulevard after leaving the Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The man was intoxicated when he stepped into the roadway, officials said after the accident.

Hennessy, of Ponce Inlet, Fla., died Saturday afternoon from blunt-force injuries suffered in the collision. The Coroner’s Office has ruled the death an accident.
