If there’s one thing to know about the crowd at this weekend’s Electric Daisy Carnival, it’s that they don’t do anything halfway -- and that especially applies to getting dressed up.
Among the weekend’s greatest spectacles (and there were many) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was the endless variety of wild sartorial choices that made the event feel like neon Halloween. Clothing, particularly for the ladies, was kept to a minimum, but the creativity behind achieving that minimum never failed to impress; while some fans bought ready-made costumes, even more took the DIY route to create their unique looks.
While no two looks were identical (unless, of course, that was the look you were going for), common style choices included floral garlands, furry and/or platform boots and rainbow-hued tutus for the women; among the men, a bare chest and suspenders was a popular look, as were neon or light-up eyewear and animal-inspired headgear.
From floral pasties to animal suits to Darth Vader helmets, here’s a look at the eclectic styles of the 2012 Electric Daisy Carnival.

Looks like flash backs to Burning Man!
Who gives a s**t about EDC? The hideous traffic jams from Vegas to SoCal after the end of this piece of crap festival should be a wake up call for anyone who cares about the REAL REASON Vegas exists: Tourism and the revenue it generates for this community. The clown who promotes this piece of crap festival is undoubtedly rich, and could care less about the impact this piece of crap festival has on the average citizen here trying to get to work in the AM, faced with drunk/stoned "festival" attendees who spend no money in the casinos or stores in town, but crash and burn in their hotel rooms until the next night of degenerate excess. Time for this piece of sh*t festival to get out of town for good.
hey gary, tell us what you really think.

One should laugh at negative comments from people out of touch with society.
Traffic jams is you big issue in Vegas??? Try New Years Weekend, 4th. of July or Memorial weekend, those are legitimate frustrations if traffic jams are your issue in Vegas. Don't hate on EDC we made your town Millions. That's more money than you sitting at the penny slots begging for well drinks with no tip. You complain about drunks obviously you missed the New Years Eve party in the town that's well, your backyard. Your negativity is so off base you insult the people reading your comments.
When you mass 90,000 people into one location you will encounter congestion. Whether it be a Futbol game, a football game in LA at the Colseum, EDC 2011 at the Coliseum or at the Coliseum in Rome from your era. Or the Las Vegas Speedway for NASCAR something more your speed.
Fact;
90,000 (yes ninety thousand) paying customer attended EDC 2012
Fact;
We had to sleep somewhere, or were you assume we all slept in our cars or at the speedway. No, wait that was you at Woodstock :O( We spent thousands of dollars here in the community on hotels, gas, food, restaurants, supplies and Las Vegas Loves Us, except you.
The revenue generated by EDC 2012 was staggering just like us leaving Sunday morning:O))))
EDC WAS A HUGE SUCCESS IN 2012, BEYOND THE PROMOTERS DREAMS!!!!!!!!!!
Las Vegas knows how to throw a 90,000 three day event party, they are the true winners in revenue. Thank You Las Vegas you never disappoint, except one person who thinks there are no traffic jams, people drinking in excess and sleeping in there cars for three days.
Wake Up Baby EDC 2012 is over but there is always next year.
BLAM!!!!!!!! Take that because I'm way off base :O)
