Metro Police are continuing the search for a suspect after an early morning armed robbery at the Ellis Island Casino, just off the Las Vegas strip.

The robbery occurred at 1:52 a.m. at the casino, 4178 Koval Lane, said Metro spokesman Officer Jose Hernandez. The suspect entered the casino with a firearm, walked to a cashier’s window and robbed the teller, Hernandez said.

Hernandez described the suspect as a black male in his mid-30s, about 5-feet-8 with a medium build. The man was last seen wearing a fisherman-style hat, white buttoned-up shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

Metro is asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.

  1. Someone actually robbed the Ellis Island casino? This is the first time in years that we have had to deal with a "minimum wage" robber!!!

  2. My thought was who would want to rob Ellis Island? I mean you really want to see who came to this country long ago? Then I saw it was the Ellis Island Casino, which made be go "why?"
