Former presidential candidate Herman Cain said Monday that Mitt Romney has no reason to release more of his tax returns, which would only give liberals more ammunition against him.
“Let me say this as emphatically as I can: Who cares about Mitt Romney’s tax returns?” he shouted during a press gathering after a speech at a vacant Reno strip mall. “Secondly, I love the fact that the guy is rich!”
Cain spoke at a rally organized by the conservative group Americans for Prosperity, which is running a bus tour across Nevada to attack President Barack Obama and Democratic Senate candidate Shelley Berkley.
In an unusual turn, Cain shied away from making inflammatory comments, refusing to say who he would like to see Romney choose as a running mate.
“I will have confidence in whoever he picks,” Cain said. “Now, there are some that I pray he does not pick, some of the ones who have been talked about in the press. I can’t tell you who those are.”

exactly...who cares what Herman (999) Cain thinks?
show us the tax returns....WE care!
HA, HA, HA, HA, HA.
One rich republican protecting another rich
republican.
That's rich.
Herman, we voters care, that's who cares.
What's Willard hiding?
It must be HUGE!

So the guy running on his business experience thinks that he shouldn't have to show how he made his money. Is there anyone applying for any normal job who's background isn't investigated?
All politicians should have to be rich so that they can make unbiased decisions for poor and middle class people. If our political leaders are rich, they won't have to waste time on empathy and will be able to make quick decisions without having to worry about those who are having hard times. I'm with Cain.
Maybe no politician or anyone running for public office should be required to show tax returns. We only need to see one year of bank statements to make sure they;re actually millionaires. Go Mitt!!!
A review of Obama WH staff shows that for the various WH millionaires have similar accounts which includes multiple overseas accounts which are not illegal and Swiss bank accounts which are not illegal. In fact When business is done overseas it is customary to have a foreign bank account.
Obama knows the details of Romney's taxes and accounts because the IRS has report to Obama on his tax returns. The IRS has not found any audit issues. Twenty years of Romney returns were vetted by the the FBI for McCain during the 2008 election.
Plus Obama signed the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act passed by Reid and Pelosi in 2010. This is a reporting act with huge fines associated. Obama hire another 800 IRS agent to enforce it. Romney has not been fined by Obama so everything is okay.
We know that Obama is using IRS audits and Labor Dept audits to harass large donors to Romney like Frank VanderSloot who donate to a Romney PAC and was singled out in Obama campaign attack ads. Obama's use of the federal government to attack people on his enemies list is chilling.
We have 23% underemployed and only 1.9% GDP growth, 50 million on food stamps and all that Obama can talk about is Romney's success and his tax returns
"Secondly, I love the fact that the guy is rich!"

Nevada grifter speech respect.

Gee, what a nice, compassionate person you are, dukeofdeath. A life can change in a heartbeat no matter how much money you have. That money could disappear in a blink of an eye and then you'll be one of the "poor" seeking help.
Herman...
You're opinion about ANYTHING is unwarranted at this time.
Not only is your opinion unwarranted, NO ONE CARES!!!
That said...
Seeing the NAME Herman Cain in print again gave me a HUGE, SILLY GRIN!
Man, I miss the entertainment of those 'TeaNutalk' gatherings they called 'Republican Candidate Debates'...
Bachman, Perry, CAIN, Newtie, RONPAUL, Mittens, et al....
Herman's 'vociferous' denials of his SEXCAPADES, and ALL the crazy-a$$ STUFF he championed...Hey, if you need a pick-me-up today, a HOOT & a HOLLER, have yourself a gander @ this ODE TO THINGS HERMAN SAID...AWESOME!!!

Who really cares what this thug Cain says as well,he is a liar and phony just like Romney. Romney would do well to follow his fathers advise and a host of other leading Republicans and show his tax returns,of course everyone knows he has a lot of corruption to hide. Romney acts like a typical egomaniac CEO, it's my way and to hell with you. The only problem is he did not need anyones vote to be the scumbag CEO of the year.
Herman Cain= 666
Romney does not have to produce his tax returns - that's his right. There is no legal requirement he do so. But, it's MY right to vote for whom I think will be the best president. And, Romney's choice not to release his returns makes me wonder if he's got something to hide. I'm not saying Romney is hiding something - the problem is I just don't know. And, I'm not comfortable voting for him when I'm unsure about this issue.
I actually agree with Cain. I care not one bit about how much money Romney has. Whether he makes $10,000 a year or $10 Million... I don't care.
What I DO care about is someone who can help fix this country a lot more effectively and faster than our current President and politicians are sluggishly doing. Democrats, Republicans..they're both at fault. ..And if you're strictly partisan who spends more time bashing one side or the other than doing something to help, it's time for you to be quiet. It's not helping...it never has. Focus your efforts on something more constructive.
Herman Cain is just sucking up to Romney, hoping HE gets chosen for a running mate. Bad choice, the guy is already in trouble for the things he did.
As for Romney's financial dealings; IMO, he is a closet racketeer intending to BUY the presidency, not get elected honestly, by the American people. He'll be buying votes, left and right, and whoever opposes him, LOOK OUT.
Here's a scenario: why hasn't there been a "wikileaks" type disclosure of Mitten's tax returns? The IRS has his returns, and someone with no fear of losing his/her job could easily post them on the internet couldn't they? I will not vote for Romney because of some nebulous tax issues. I will not vote for Romney because he is a social issue Neanderthal, and a "free market", "trickle down economics" FOOL. If this guy gets elected president, kiss the middle class goodbye, kiss female personal reproductive rights goodbye, kiss comprehensive and compassionate immigration reform goodbye....and the list goes on.
I'd be more interested in Obama's grades. Especially the one in his token science class.
Re Rusty57. You'd be more interested in Obama's grades? Really? ....token science class? Maybe you have a point here; enlighten me if you do....
Romney money ivested in companies doing business with Iran.
So what is the law? Do presidential candidates have to show thier tax returns? If yes , then he has to show them. If not then he has done nothing wrong.
I love the comments that say, 'I don't care'...
Yeah...you do.
You're just saying 'you don't care', because that's what YOU HEARD you're supposed to say...by fellow TeaTalkers...
'We don't CARE' is tantamount to 'we don't WANT TO KNOW'...
Let's face it, kids...
If there was nuttin' to see;
you'd have SEEN THEM!!!
Mittens Howell-Romney...
UNELECTABLE.
Not just for one reason;
but many, many reasons.
'Republican' is going to be POISON @ the POLLS!!!
"Remember they are from Chicago".....what is Chicago?..Mordor? There ain't anything mystical or malevolent about Chicago...just a city that is part of a larger state that votes DEMOCRATIC. Perhaps that disturbs you....Mississippi disturbs me.
If I was advising Obama I would tell him to ignore Romney completely.
Obama's strength lies with his relationship with the American People. He needs to answer some of the questions people have.
Let Romney chatter with the racists, sexists, progress haters, and assorted dimwits. The average American has never tuned into Romney and I doubt they will anytime soon. The guy is as exciting as loaf of bread.
Re Rusty57. You'd be more interested in Obama's grades? Really? ....token science class? Maybe you have a point here; enlighten me if you do....
Gary, bet you a buck Bush had better grades. That's the reason the dope-smokin choom don't release them. And yes, i'll double up on the token science class. Like Gore and Kerry, the bare minimum.
