Henderson Police are searching for a 78-year-old woman from Missouri who disappeared after her teal 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass broke down in Henderson.

Police officials said Verna Lee Roberts has failed to call her family after taking her car to a repair shop Wednesday. She told her family in their last conversation that the shop had asked for too much money, and that she had met a woman and her husband at a Henderson casino.

Officials said Roberts picked up her car with an unidentified man from the repair shop the same day. Roberts had been traveling from Missouri to see country music singer Dwight Yoakam in concert in California.

Officials said Roberts is 5-foot-4 and weighs 100 pounds. She is white and has red hair and brown eyes. Her car has Missouri license plates.

Officials urge anyone who locates Roberts to call 9-1-1, or if they have information, to call Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4913. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
