CRIME:

Henderson Police find suspect on ground, surrounded by stolen goods and money

A man is in custody after Henderson Police discovered him lying on the ground surrounded by money and stolen property.

Henderson Police were called about 6 a.m. Tuesday to the area near Legacy Palms Condominiums on Green Valley Parkway near Wigwam Parkway, said Keith Paul, Henderson Police public information officer.

There, they found Jesse Alexander Ordonez lying on the ground surrounded by money, credit cards and stolen property, which, police say, he obtained from burglarizing vehicles in the area. Ordonez was medically cleared by paramedics and taken into custody. It is unknown why he was lying on the ground, Paul said.

Henderson Jail records show Ordonez, 22, remains in custody on $33,000 bond.

Police determined all of the money and property stolen came from cars that were unlocked, Paul said. He advised motorists to lock their cars and either hide or take their valuables with them when they leave.
