Fatal accident
One person is dead after a traffic accident around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday on an Interstate 15 off-ramp at Mesquite, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.
Trooper Jeremie Elliott said a Chevy Blazer rear-ended a tractor-trailer on the northbound off-ramp of the I-15 at Sandhill Boulevard. The accident killed the Blazer driver, Elliott said.
Elliott said investigators determined the Blazer driver was at fault.
The off-ramp was closed shortly after the accident but has since been reopened.
