One person was killed Tuesday afternoon when two vehicles collided on the Sunset Road overpass at the Las Vegas Beltway, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
One of the vehicles in the crash, which happened at 12:42 p.m., caught fire, Trooper Jeremie Elliott said. Emergency crews pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Authorities shut down Sunset Road in both directions as they investigate and clear the scene. No further details were released.
