Brian Sandoval
Gov. Brian Sandoval will lead a trade mission to Israel in May as part of the state's renewed economic development effort.
Sandoval will travel with Nevada business and government representatives. He's also been invited to speak at the 18th International Agricultural Exhibition in Tel Aviv, May 15-17.
The first-term Republican governor says the trip will give Nevada leaders a chance to discuss ways to work together in pursuit of jobs and investment.
Economic development officials say other topics will include technologies to expand water supplies and development of other economic sectors, including cyber security, clean energy and technology commercialization.
The Israel trade mission was announced Thursday. It will be funded through private-sector participation. The Israeli Consulate will also assume a share of the cost.

"funded through private-sector participation."? Is that Adelman?
Disgusting.
Keep your hand on your wallet.
Do all Nevada Governors just sit around and take up oxygen? Gibbons did absolutely nothing but text his girlfriend for his entire time in office. Guinn decided to take the state's budget surplus and give it to students who had a 2.0 gpa to go to "college". And now this guy hasn't done a damn thing. He can't even be bothered to go to the airport and meet the President. Our President, not one from some far flung foreign country. He may not like the man but he is the President and might, just might, be able to help out with a thing or two.
Nevada tops just about every "worst" list conceivable and he's trotting off to Israel to chat about investment opportunities? Really? I mean really? There's not anything going on here, today, in this state that might be a priority and require some attention. Nothing? Nothing at all?
It's clear to me that Republicans are willing to sell us all out to every foreign country in the world while pretending there aren't pressing matters for them to deal with here at home.
