Metro Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting Tuesday night at a skate park that critically injured a 17-year-old boy, officials said.

Police said the suspects — Jerry Santistevan, 21, and an unidentified juvenile — allegedly committed two separate robberies Tuesday, the second of which occurred about 8:30 p.m. at the Mountain Ridge Skate Park, 7150 Oso Blanca Road. Officials reported that the teen boy was shot in the neck during the holdup, leaving him critically injured and possibly paralyzed. The boy, described by police as a victim of the robbery, was transported to University Medical Center.

Officers located the suspects at a nearby residence at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and took them into custody without incident, authorities said.

The robbery at the skate park occurred about three hours after the same suspects allegedly committed a robbery near Buffalo Drive and Golden Talon Avenue in the northwest valley, police said. Further details on that robbery were unavailable.

Santistevan was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy robbery, two counts of attempted robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of battery with substantial bodily harm, according to jail records. He is being held without bail.

Police have not released charges for the juvenile suspect.
