Haven’t heard of Karnival? It’s been running for two-and-a-half years now. Contortionist Stephanie Castellone started the show, and when she moved on to bigger and better things (a Cirque-type production in South America), she passed the reins to 20-year-old magician Kyle Marlett.
“For a long time,” Marlett says, “we were Vegas’ only monthly theme show. But the idea’s been copied. Next month we’re doing a date-night show. So all we’re bringing in [are] couples acts. Or, if you’re a solo performer, you’ve got to do something sexy or romantic. In the past, we’ve done an all-male show, an all-magic show, and a rave night. March is going to be huge, too.”
