A major six-month renovation of thousands of rooms at the Bellagio has been completed, a hotel executive said Wednesday.

The $70 million job started in June, and 2,568 rooms in the hotel’s main tower have been updated.

Designed by the MGM Resorts International Design Group, the new rooms feature three different color palates — indigo and silver, plum and tea green, and butterscotch and amber.

“The feedback we’ve received so far has been incredible and we’re eager to welcome our loyal guests and first-time visitors to experience these new rooms,” Randy Morton, president and chief operating officer of the Bellagio, said in a statement.

The guest rooms in the Bellagio’s main tower have not been renovated since 2004. The spa tower and the hotel’s suites, which were renovated in 2007, were not part of the upgrade.

The rooms are listed as deluxe resort rooms on the Bellagio website and are $20 to $30 more than rooms that were not part of the renovation. Rates for a stay during January in the new rooms start at $219.

The Bellagio renovations follow overhauls at several other Las Vegas hotels in the last year, including the Tropicana, Wynn Las Vegas, Stratosphere, the Plaza and the MGM Grand, which began a $160 million renovation in October.
