One man died Saturday morning in an apartment fire at 3109 Del Mar Street near Maryland Parkway and Tropicana Avenue, Clark County Fire officials report.
Clark County Firefighters were notified about 8:45 a.m. and say smoke was showing from the second floor of the apartment when they arrived.
Firefighters say they found the man in a second-floor apartment.
According to officials, the fire was between the first and second floor of the apartment. It is still under investigation.
The Clark County Coroner will release the identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, pending notification of the family.
This is the second fire-related fatality of 2012 in Clark County, according to officials.
