Metro Police say two people are dead after a car accident in downtown Las Vegas Saturday morning.
According Metro Lt. Dan Zehnder, the accident occurred about 10:45 a.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Symphony Park Avenue.
Zehnder said preliminary evidence indicates one of the victims pulled in front of oncoming traffic, causing an accident with two other cars.
The passenger of that car died at the scene and the driver died after being transported to University Medical Center, according to Zehnder.
The occupants of the two other vehicles were unharmed, he said.
Metro is still investigating the accident and will release more information later.

this was such a tragedy. I was there on scene when the collision happened and my thoughts and prayers go out the families involved. I am so sorry for their loss. I flew to the scene to offer help, trying to keep the victims calm and let them know that help was on the way. again, my prayers go out the thier families.
My niece, nephew and his girlfriend were involved in this accident....and we are so thankful and blessed they were not seriously injured. This was a horrible accident and our condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives.
kpinky - my niece and nephew mentioned people going to help, even one nurse. Thank you for being there for them...it means more than you know.
@Bob- yes I was one of many that offered help to these victims involved. I actually didnt see the accident. I was getting out of my car at the furniture store at the corner of MLK and Symphony. I heard the sctreching of the cars and looked up to notice the cars colliding. Me being a student nurse,I quickly ran over and offered my assistance. I talked to the vicitims to let them know that help was on the way. I did what I could.
