It’s a celebratory weekend on the Strip for the stars: “Jersey Shore” starlet Jenny “JWoww” Farley, singer Sean Kingston and Nik Richie and wife Shayne Lamas are celebrating birthdays, and Ice-T is bringing his knockout wife Coco to toast the start of Season 2 of their reality TV hit “Ice Loves Coco.”

It’s a special celebration for Sean because he’s alive and well after nearly losing his life in a horrific jet-ski accident in Miami last year. Sean, who marked his 21st birthday at Tryst in the Wynn last year, said he was traumatized by the near-death experience and moved from his Miami home because of recurring nightmares. Now he’s back on the road for the first time.

When I say knockout, we also note that it’s a weekend of brawn and beauties. Rugby players from 16 nations are battling it out in the USA Sevens Rugby International Tournament at Sam Boyd Stadium. Fortunately, with all that brute force, we’re softened by the ladies as the gorgeous topless dancers from “Fantasy” ensure that love is in the air on our way to Valentine’s Day.

Add in the return of Sir Elton John with his real $1 million piano at Caesars Palace, the second weekend of Motley Crue’s continuing Hard Rock Hotel residency and Nelly’s performance at Haze in Aria, and once again Las Vegas proves that it is the Entertainment Capital of the World.

So let’s join the party, polish the prizes and score a goal with our own knockout plays in this week’s edition of the Royal Robin Rundown.

FRIDAY, FEB. 10, 2012

Motley Crue with possible guest musicians jamming along are at the Joint in the Hard Rock all weekend. Sir Elton John plays his “Million Dollar Piano” at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace. Styx is at Green Valley Ranch. Crystal Gayle goes pop country at South Point for two nights, and new Mexican singing sensation Gerardo Ortiz is at LVH.

Comedy is king all weekend with Jay Mohr as headline guest at the Improv at Harrah’s, and Andrew Dice Clay is as outrageous as ever at the Riviera.

OF SPECIAL NOTE

PBR Rock Bar and Grill at Planet Hollywood serve as official party headquarters for rugby fans from all over the world here for the rough and tumble of the USA Sevens Rugby Tournament at Sam Boyd Stadium through Sunday. Students of our Tarkanian Middle School Drum Line, the only middle school in Clark County with a competitive drum team, open for Recycled Percussion at the Tropicana. And the Las Vegas Wranglers battle the Bakersfield Condors at Orleans Arena.

PARTY PATROL

Redfoo of LMFAO is guest DJ at Tao in the Venetian. DJ Donald Glaude spins at RPM Nightclub in the Tropicana. And Nik Richie of TheDirty.com celebrates his 33rd birthday with wife Shayne Lamas at Pure in Caesars Palace.

SATURDAY, FEB. 11, 2012

The Village People signal “YMCA” at Star of the Desert Arena in Buffalo Bill’s in Primm. Hold on to the night with Richard Marx at the Orleans for two nights. Grammy-nominated Joe -- just the one name, please -- is at Boulder Station. And Earl Turner is at Suncoast for two nights.

D.R.U.G.S. , with Undermined guitarist Nick Martin and Matchbox Romance drummer Aaron Stern, are on their first tour with Hit the Lights, Like Moths to Flames and Sparks the Rescue at Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. And the Oasis’ Valentine’s Love Affair celebrates with the Manhattans, Heatwave, GQ, the Moments, Billy Paul, Gene Chandler, Barbara Mason, El Chicano and Ray, Goodman and Brown at the Orleans.

OF SPECIAL NOTE

Celebrated violinist Itzhak Perlman with pianist Rohan De Silva are at UNLV’s Performing Arts Center. And tickets go on sale for Best New Artist Grammy nominee Bon Iver’s April 12 concert and Incubus’ Memorial Day Weekend shows -- May 25-26 -- both at the Joint.

Ice-T and Coco celebrate Season 2 of their “Ice Loves Coco” at Pure. Sean Kingston celebrates his birthday and life anew at RPM Nightclub in Tropicana. Gossip guru Perez Hilton presents his Valentine’s Broken Hearts Ball at the Bank in the Bellagio with a performance by Kat Graham. Manufactured Superstars are at Tryst, and the “Fantasy” cast hosts a pre-Valentine’s Day party at LAX.

SUNDAY, FEB. 12, 2012

British TV entertainer Jack Walker, who moved here as principal vocalist in “Jubilee!” and “Folies Bergere” , presents Jack Walker & Friends Valentine’s Day Show” featuring Laurie Caceres from “Jubilee!” and Natalie Brown from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” at Aliante Station. Jack’s regular variety-show concerts start at Green Valley Ranch on Feb. 19. And XPOZ Battle of the Fans features top local bands at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.

We’ll post reports and photos of the stars at work and play all weekend, so be sure to check back often right here at Vegas DeLuxe.
