The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died when the motorcycle he was riding crashed Saturday near Rainbow Boulevard and U.S. 95.
Martize J. Gray, 26, of Las Vegas, died from multiple blunt force injuries suffered during the accident, the coroner said.
Police said the crash happened at 10:36 p.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes of Rainbow Boulevard near the highway.
The preliminary investigation indicated Gray was riding a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle south on Rainbow in the right travel lane when he struck the west curt near Balzar Avenue.
Gray was thrown off the bike and struck a traffic light pole before landing in the right southbound travel lane, police said. The motorcycle continued sliding south and ended up in the left turn lane. No other vehicles were involved.
Emergency medical crews transported Gray to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The accident was the 11th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction so far this year.

Cagers really need to start looking out for bikes and the ticket needs to be more than the standard $150 failure to yield. Another good person lost, we will miss you Ryan, Godspeed.
