Temperatures to climb to a high around 60 today, say forecasters

Enjoy the sunshine today, because clouds and a slight chance of rain will be rolling into the Las Vegas Valley this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs today of 55 degrees on the west side of the valley and around 63 degrees on the east side, the weather service said.
Winds will be from the northeast under 10 mph, forecasters said.
Dry conditions are expected over the area today before a Pacific storm moves into the California Coast on Tuesday, the weather service said.
There's a slight chance Clark County could get some precipitation late Tuesday, but not anything measureable, forecasters said.
This morning’s low at McCarran was expected to be 40 degrees. The normal low for today's date is 42 degrees. The record low was 19 degrees, set in 1989, 1982 and 1938.
Temperatures at McCarran International Airport were to rise today to 47 degrees by 9 a.m., to 56 degrees by noon and reach a high of 60 degrees by 2 p.m., forecasters said. The normal high for today's date is 61 degrees and the record high was 78 degrees, set in 1963.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 56 degrees by 6 p.m., to 50 degrees by 9 p.m. and to 47 degrees by midnight, forecasters said.
Tuesday's morning low will be 43 degrees and Tuesday's high will climb to 57 degrees, they said.
