A sense of urgency pervaded the Crossroads of the West Gun Show on Saturday at the Cashman Center. People swarmed hundreds of vendor booths, stocking up on ammunition and guns like it was a Mayan apocalypse. Cases holding ammunition were emptied and vendors such as Andrew Prosser of Big Gun Enterprises wondered if they’d have enough goods to sell on Sunday. Someone breaks into your home with the potential to hurt your children or rape your wife? You will want to stop the perpetrator permanently by any means necessary. And pepper spray or a taser? Ain't gonna cut it! Forget being humane with someone who is threating your families health and well being. You need to put them down, put them down hard and fast! No if ands or buts!

Nordli -- highly unlikely. The "AK" in "AK-47" means "Automatic Kalashnikov." Being one of the original true full-auto assault rifle, any semi-auto version is NOT an "AK." I suspect this is a falsehood in your article.

The best way to sell one amazing number of firearms is for the government to announce the possibility of gun control legislation. The NRA and firearms dealers/manufacturers can't buy advertising as good as a presidential announcement. Bang bang...

300 million guns in America and it has the highest gun violence death rate of any country on Earth: 40x Britain, a 'socialist' country. In Canada, Australia and Britain, it is safe to go to school, it's safe to go to a mall, to a movie without getting blown into pieces.
In contrast, in America, school children are martyrs to freedom, they pay the price so that all men and women can practice their insanities in the name of God and Country.
The NRA says that more guns will bring safety - but how many more? The NRA doesn't care. More profits to the gun dealers is the answer.
Go to Michele Fiore's site and there she is, hand gun on the right side, probably clip intact and at least two gun clips on the left side. This is a statement "I am a role model, follow me. I need a handgun and two additional clips to get me to work each day in America."
What an incredible ego - Michele needs a semi-automatic clip loaded gun and two extra clips just to get to work each day. It looks like she anticipates one or more gangs, with between 5 and 10 men to either attack,rob or rape her on the way to work. She poses as if this is the 'norm'.
Three clips? How many at the rear? We'll never know unless Micele turns around for the photographer. My recommendation for that is "Hell NO".

Pepper spray and tasers are not 100% effective on attackers, i have personal experience with the failure of both those and an asp baton failing to subdue attackers on more than one occasion. I also carry a concealed weapon wherever its legal to do so and i'm not the least bit concerned that it will be taken from me. After 24 years in the US Army i think I can handle the average criminal who breaks into my house. There are a number of weapons retention training classes specifically designed to preveent the loss of your weapon so its used against you. I never gave a thought to whether assault style weapons should be banned, but I will freely admit to changing my mind in the past few weeks. A resposible gun owner who takes the time to be triained above the normal gun safety class is not a threat to society. My weapon is locked in a biometric gun safe when not on me. I havee had more than one instance where i would have been justified in using deadly force, but have been able to avoid doing so.your best weapon is your brain, a gun is a tool to be used only in the most extreme case. I believe most ccw holders obtained the permit to protect themselves and their family, not become an amatuer swat team engaging an active shooter.
Do commenters know what a magazine is other than what one reads on the toilet. A firearm is loaded with a MAGAZINE, not a clip. Not knowing this one simple fact kills the credibility of the comment.
