With New Year's Eve falling on a Monday this year, Las Vegas is starting the party a little early with major concerts and nightclub events beginning Friday. Hopefully revelers won't be too worn out by the time the main event rolls around with its incredible number of open bar parties and celebrity hosts. Read on to choose your perfect year-end celebration and don't forget to designate a driver.

Friday, Dec. 28:

Brittney Palmer at Chateau: The model, artist and UFC ring girl kicks off New Year’s weekend and UFC 155 with a pre-fight appearance at the Paris nightclub.

M!keattack at Moon: Resident DJ M!keattack kicks off Palms' NYE weekend festivities with the final Attack Fridays of 2012 along with Seany Mac.

NYE dress rehearsals at Señor Frog’s: Señor Frog’s will ring in the New Year early for three times the fiesta fun with New Year’s Eve rehearsal parties from Friday through Sunday. Kicking off at 8 p.m. each night of New Year’s Eve weekend, guests can enjoy an unlimited champagne bar, New Year’s party favors, live music and DJs for $50.

A-Trak at 1 Oak: A-Trak, one-half of DJ duo Duck Sauce, made a name for himself with the track "Barbra Streisand."

Lisa Pittman at Ghostbar: Local favorite DJ Lisa Pittman spins at the club at the top of the Palms along with Kid Conrad.

Pitbull at the Pearl: Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull, leaves the 305 behind for a bit to visit the 702 for a pair of concerts Friday and Saturday. Enjoy tracks like "Give Me Everything" and "Don't Stop the Party."

ATB at Marquee: German DJ and producer ATB headlines at Cosmo’s nightclub. The trance specialist is known for tracks like "Could You Believe."

New Monsoon at the Hard Rock Café on the Strip: Start your big weekend with some jam band music courtesy of the San Fran band who has toured with The String Cheese Incident and Umphrey's McGee. Oneness Vibe opens the show.

Reverend Horton Heat at Vinyl: RHH performs at Hard Rock's Vinyl along with Jello Biafra and Tijuana Panthers. The Dallas psychobilly trio have been together almost a quarter-century cranking out hits like "Big Little Baby" and "It Was a Very Good Year."

Steve Aoki at Surrender: Surrender's music director at his home base for Aoki's House. Be prepared to take a ride on an inflatable raft and get a champagne shower.

Tiësto at XS: The Dutch DJ and producer is riding high on the success of his new album Club Life — Volume One Las Vegas and now brings the Club Life experience to XS Nightclub at Encore. Deniz Koyu starts the night.

Jermaine Dupri at Tryst: The Wynn nightclub presents rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri spinning along with Mike Carbonell.

Nas at Tao: The rapper and actor, known for songs like "Hate Me Now," hosts the night at the Venetian club.

Red Eye Radio at Beauty Bar: The local favorites perform a free show at the downtown hangout. The cover band will perform all your favorite hits. Enjoy $3 well drinks and $2 Miller Lite.

Saturday, Dec. 29:

UFC 155 at MGM Grand Garden Arena: UFC returns to the MGM Grand for the much-anticipated rematch between Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez.

UFC 155 after-fight party: UFC 155 main event fighter Junior dos Santos hosts his post-fight party at Tabú, following his rematch against Cain Velasquez.

M83 with Black Boots at Body English:Las Vegas-based EDM duo Black Boots (aka Lightknife and former Afghan Raider Mikey Francis) perform at the Hard Rock’s newly reopened club along with M83, the French group behind the hit “Midnight City.” Open-bar wristbands are $125.

Tickets go on sale Friday for The Killers' December Cosmopolitan shows.

The Killers at Cosmopolitan: Las Vegas' own return home for a show at the Chelsea along with Louis XIV and Most Thieves. Look forward to hits like "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me" and 2012's "Runaways."

Steve Angello at XS: The Greek-Swedish DJ producer is part of the Swedish House Mafia but this time he performs along with Third Party and Kris Nilsson.

Afrojack at Tryst: The DJ was named “The World’s Next Top DJ” by Mixmag Get "Jacked" with his hit songs like “Take Over Control,” “No Beef” and “Can’t Stop Me” at the Wynn nightclub.

DJ Vice at Tao: Partygoers at the Venetian club can enjoy the sounds of DJ Vice. The popular DJ splits his time among Las Vegas, LA and NYC so be glad he chose Vegas for NYE weekend.

Psy celebrates his birthday this weekend with a live performance at Pure.

Psy at Pure: The Korean pop star’s viral video for “Gangnam Style” just made Internet history, becoming the first to surpass 1 billion YouTube views. You know you want to see the dance in person from the man who made it famous. Psy will be celebrating his birthday.

Neon Hitch at Chateau: British singer-songwriter Neon Hitch will make her debut appearance at the Paris nightclub, including a live performance.

Celebrity Player’s Ball with R. Kelly: R. Kelly performs at the Celebrity Player’s Ball, held in the Paradise Event Center at the LVH. Enjoy a live performance, cocktails and dancing then the after party will keep the party going. VIP seating includes hors d'oeuvres and champagne.

Alie Layus at Ghostbar: The Playboy Playmate spins at Ghostbar Dayclub's New Year Celebration along with resident DJ Mark Stylz. Piñata smashing sounds like just the right way to say goodbye to 2012. Alie sticks around for another evening session at Ghostbar, along with OB-One.

Calvin Harris at Surrender: Calvin Harris, the Scottish DJ whose hit tracks include “Feel So Close” and the chart-topping collaboration with Rihanna, “We Found Love,” spins at Surrender to close his year of appearances at the Encore club.

Sunday, Dec. 30:

DJ Switch at Body English: Body English keeps the reopening weekend fun going with headliner DJ Switch, Drop The Lime, Mr. White and Destructo on the main stage and DJ Spair in the Parlor.

Avicii at Marquee: The Grammy-nominated Swedish DJ and producer spins at Cosmo’s nightclub.

The Black Keys at The Joint: Grammy award winners The Black Keys will be rocking in the New Year with two shows at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel. The duo will help say goodbye to 2012 along with special guest Divine Fits.

Deadmau5 at XS: Mr. ’mau5 returns for another Unhooked performance to the Encore nightclub. Catch him and his “technological orgy” at XS.

The Eagles at MGM: The Eagles return to the MGM Grand for a concert featuring all their greatest hits like “Hotel California,” “Desperado,” “Take It To The Limit,” “Life In the Fast Lane” and “Take It Easy.”

Moksha at Vinyl: The local jam band gets ready for the New Year with a show at the Hard Rock's venue along with Spafford.

Iggy Azalea at Moon: The Australian beauty with the unusual name is an up-and-coming rap artist. She’ll perform at Moon along with DJs Jazzy Jeff and Alie Layus.

Ghostbar Sundays: Check out the final Ghostbar Sunday of the year featuring music from Brett Rubin, Jordan Stevens and Ryne Green.

DJ Pauly D celebrates Halloween at Rehab and Vanity's Sinners Ball in the Hard Rock Hotel on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

Cee Lo at Chateau: The coach from The Voice is gearing up for his Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace residency at Planet Hollywood. Get a taste of what’s to come when he performs at the Paris nightclub.

DJ Vice at Lavo: DJ Vice spins at the Palazzo nightclub a night after manning the decks at Tao.

Camp Lo at Beauty Bar: Enjoy a live performance by Camp Lo, who bring their 15-year anniversary tour to the downtown bar along with Mikey VIP, Youthinazia and Dulamite. If you're feeling confident, try your hand at the open mic portion of the evening, hosted by Ras1.

The Metal King at The Lounge at the Palms: The Metal King (formerly known as Metal Elvis) will perform two shows at the Lounge at the Palms over NYE weekend. You know you want to hear a mashup of “Don’t Be Cruel" and "Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

Monday, Dec. 31:

NYE party and pajama brunch at Rumor: Rumor Hotel hosts a night of music and drink featuring an open bar from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. with the party continuing until 2 a.m. Open bar tickets start at $100 per person and VIP table packages start at $1,000 per table. The next morning, enjoy Pajama Brunch from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for $24.99 per person at Addiction restaurant. Enjoy bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas for an additional $15.

Atomic Blast New Year’s Eve Bash at Gold Spike: The downtown hotel turns back the clock to the Atomic Era with its '50s and '60s inspired Atomic Blast New Year’s Eve Bash. Stratosphere's NYE parties: Stratosphere's Level 108/104/103 venues offer a multifloor party including three live DJs featuring DJ Mac, Go-Go dancers, elaborate food stations, a chocolate fountain, living table sushi bar, candy extravaganza, four-hour open bar with premium brand liquor, specialty martinis served by secret angels, champagne toasts at midnight and party favors. The price is $225 (inclusive of tax & gratuity, $250 day of) and runs 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Downtown Countdown at Fremont Street Experience: Rock in the new year with the Downtown Countdown New Year’s Eve 2013 celebration featuring music from co-headliners Buckcherry and Queensryche, plus special guests Quiet Riot, Pop Evil and Otherwise. Other performers include Yellow Brick Road, Zowie Bowie, Jizzy Pearl, Rok of Ages, Party Rockers and Brazen. The event includes a 2012 year-in-review retrospective on the Viva Vision screen, a midnight countdown led by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and fireworks by Grucci show synchronized with virtual fireworks on Viva Vision.

Red Hot Chili Peppers at Cosmopolitan: Ring in the new year with popular rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Chelsea Ballroom at Cosmo.

Rain’s last night: Rain officially closes its doors after this final performance from the Blink-182 drummer and the Southern hip-hop artist. Guests can opt for the open bar wristband for $200 that offers drinks from 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

Aubrey O’Day at Krave Massive’s Ballroom: New club Krave Massive won’t open until March but in the meantime, the club has acquired a ballroom on the first floor of Neonopolis for a performance by the former Danity Kane member. 2 Chainz at Chateau: The rapper’s latest album features collaborations with the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj plus it just scored a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Enjoy his special performance plus an open bar, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

Fun. at Haze: Embrace your youth and sing along to “We Are Young" as multiple Grammy nominee Fun. performs NYE at Haze. Enjoy an open bar from 9:30-10:30 p.m.

NYE Fireworks Celebration at Cosmo’s BLVD Social Club: If you didn't score tickets to the Red Hot Chili Peppers show in the Chelsea Ballroom, you can watch the show on the Cosmo's marquee from the BLVD Social Club at center-Strip. Enjoy the midnight fireworks show up close and enjoy an open bar 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Gold Coast NYE parties: The San Fernando Band will perform in the Gold Coast Showroom/Lounge starting at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free with a two-drink minimum purchase. In the Arizona Ballroom, ring in the New Year with Latin All-Stars Orchestra starting at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.

Common at Hyde: Ring in the new year with a great view of the Strip and the Bellagio fountains. The house band from Hollywood’s Sayers Club joins the Chicago rapper for a special performance. Guests will be given a customized mask with purchase of a ticket into the lounge. The party features live music, an open bar, signature "Baby Doll" dancers, special appearances by the freaks of the haunt and a champagne toast at midnight. The open bar package is $129.

East coast NYE celebration: Tacos and Tequila presents the ladies of Fantasy to party with revelers for an East Coast countdown celebration. Resident DJ Larry Lynx spins from 7-11 p.m. When the ball drops in Times Square, Fantasy singer Lorena Peril sings her own rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” and guest will receive complimentary Patron tequila shots. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy $13 tequila flights, $5 Dos Equis bottled beer and a $10 beer and shot cart featuring Dos Equis and Patrón tequila shots.

DJ Nesta B at the HRC: DJ Nesta B spins at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip Monday. All ticket packages include a hosted Red Bull & Absolut bar as well as passed appetizers from 9 -10 p.m. plus a champagne toast at midnight.

Multi-countdown celebration at Minus5: Each hour, starting at 11:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, Minus5 Ice Bars inside Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo will count down the New Year in a different time zone. In addition to entry ($15-$75, depending on the package), guests will receive a token to exchange for their toast. Guests who wish to celebrate in style and keep the garb will also be invited to opt-in on a special New Year’s Eve package priced at $250 which will include two drinks, a framed 5x7 photo, a souvenir Russian hat and you'll get to keep the fur coat. This offer will be valid while supplies last.

Skip the Strip NYE party: The off-Strip property invites guests to skip the Strip and enjoy a night of great music and open bar. For $20, guests will receive an all-you-can-drink wristband valid at all casino bars from 7–10 p.m. The wristband grants access to the DJ Dance Party beginning at 10 p.m. inside Veil Pavilion plus a champagne toast at midnight and much more.

Waxx Ultra Lounge: Madame Tussauds transforms itself into Waxx Ultra Lounge for a unique New Year’s experience. Guests can mingle among the stars in wax and enjoy music from multiple DJs in themed rooms and bottle service for the full ultra lounge experience. General admission tickets are $50 per person with access to a cash bar and first level of the attraction. VIP tickets are $125 per person and include access to all the interactive rooms, an open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight, hors d‘oeuvres, party favors, private patio access to view the fireworks and a champagne toast at midnight.

NYE at GVR: Green Valley Ranch resort celebrates with several parties. In the Lobby Bar, DJ Neko spins from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. DJ Andrew B spins at Drop Bar from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. At Quinn’s Irish Pub, Darby O’Gill will perform from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. while Tim Catching performs at Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis from 6–9 p.m. The party continues with the Rustyn Vaughn Lee Trio from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Santa Fe Station’s NYE festivities: Ring in the New Year at Revolver where the $25 cover gets you two drinks, a champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Drink specials include $3 shots, $2 wells and $1 drafts from 9 p.m.-midnight. At the 4949 Lounge, DJ Kram spins from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. at. The cover is $10 which includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

NYE at Red Rock: The Summerlin resort offers three different parties to celebrate the new year. At Rocks Lounge, guests can celebrate with Zowie Bowie from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. The cover is $25. At Onyx Bar, Arrow Arts performs from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. and there is no cover. At T-Bones Chophouse, guitarist and singer Dave Ritz performs Top 40 hits from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. and there is no cover.

Sunset Station's NYE parties: The Henderson casino also rings in the new year with a trio of parties. At Club Madrid, celebrate with music from the Nancy Rayguns from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. At Gaudi Bar, DJ Lee Orchard spins from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. At Rosalita’s Cantina, Busker Kings, an acoustic power duo with a Foo Fighters meets Simon & Garfunkel sound, performs from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. There is no cover at any of these venues.

NYE at Texas Station: Texas Station offers two choices for NYE revelers. Guests can celebrate at South Padre with the country sounds of Sam Riddle from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. or enjoy jazz from Darrin Michaels from 8 p.m.-midnight over at A-Bar. There is no cover for either venue.

Boulder Station's NYE festivities: At the Railhead, guests can ring in the New Year with classic rock from the KISS Tribute Band from 10:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Over at KIXX Lounge, DJ Rouletta spins from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. No cover and guests must be 21 years or older.

Palace Station's NYE parties: At Palace Station's Louie Anderson Theatre, DJ Anthony will spin from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. At Jack’s Irish Pub, Crown Ave. performs from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. There is no cover for either venue.

John Earl & The Boogieman Band at Fiesta Rancho: At Cabo Lounge at Fiesta Rancho, John Earl & The Boogieman Band will perform from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. There is no cover.

Threedom Rock at Cerveza Cantina: At Fiesta Henderson's Cerveza Cantina, Threedom Rock will perform from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. There is no cover.

Rock the Rooftop party at Terribles: The off Strip-casino’s second annual Rock the Rooftop soiree begins at 10 p.m. with a U2 plus appetizers and an open bar. A room package including a two-night stay plus two tickets to the Rock the Rooftop bash is $319.

NYE at Orleans: Big Al’s Comedy Club transforms into Big Al’s Dance Club on New Year’s Eve, featuring DJ Dezie from 9 p.m.-2:45 a.m. Tickets are $29.95 per person and include two drinks, bar snacks, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Over in the Orleans Mardi Gras Ballroom, enjoy a free early evening show with vocalist Lisa Smith from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Later in the evening, groove with Disco Inferno from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $75 per person and include an open bar, hor d’oeurves, party favors and a midnight champagne toast.

Suncoast's NYE parties: The Suncoast Bowling Center offers cosmic bowling featuring DJ Vegas, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with tickets priced at $15-$25. In the Suncoast Showroom, Las Vegas lounge singer Jerry Tiffe will perform an early show from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tickets are $15. Later in the evening, Vegas Super Band, a collaboration of talented musicians from different shows and lounge acts in Las Vegas, will perform in the Showroom from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $29.95.

Sam's Town NYE parties: Roxy’s Lounge at Sam's Town offers a free early show from Rock It Science from 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. Later, ring in the New Year with Vintage Vegas featuring Mark and Genevieve, from 10:30 p.m. 4 a.m. Admission is also free.

NYE at La Casa: La Casa Cigars & Lounge at Tivoli Village offers live music with no cover plus a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. RSVP by calling 407-1171.

NYE at STK : STK at the Cosmopolitan offers an open bar package for $100 from 9 p.m.-midnight.

Andy Vargas at Foundation Room: New Year’s Eve at the Foundation Room features Andy Vargas, lead singer for Santana, performing along with special guests. Open bar packages start at $200.

Superboogie at the Cannery: The North Las Vegas casino presents Superboogie, a high energy disco dance party beginning at 11 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets include $5 off at the buffet, 2 free drinks during the show, a champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Over in Pinups Lounge, Patrick Puffer and Van De Guzman perform a free show from 6:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m.

Eastside Cannery's NYE concerts: Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards will be performing at the Eastside Events Center. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. with a East Coast New Year celebration at 9 p.m. Tickets start at $19.95. R&B vocal group Next Movement takes over at 10:00 p.m. and tickets are $10. The Claudine Castro Band will be performing a free show in Marilyn’s Lounge from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
