Leavitt Middle School
A middle school was locked down Thursday after a suspicious package was reported.
Around 2:40 p.m. specialized officers were sent to Leavitt Middle School in the northwest valley to investigate the package, Metro Police Officer Jose Hernandez said.
Hernandez said the officers determined the package was not a threat about an hour later, and the lockdown was lifted. There were no more details on what was in the package, or how officers determined the package was not a threat.
