Suspects in three Monday robberies and a firefight with police have been identified, Metro Police said. The man who fired at police was identified as 23-year-old Angel Montoya. The other suspect, Mayre Rosales, 20, was stopped in a vehicle near one of the crime scenes. Police later concluded that she was involved in the robberies. The first robbery was reported about 1:30 a.m. at a 7-Eleven in the 6300 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, Metro Police Officer Laura Meltzer said. When you have scum like this firing away at officers there is only one option...shoot to kill them. Too bad these 2 scumbags now become wards of the state.
Here we have another example of just how grateful we should be to the men & women of Metro for the job they do and the risks they take in protecting us and our property. They are not alone. Police officers throughout this nation go to work everyday and do the exact same thing and sometimes, it costs them. 2 police officers were killed in the line of duty yesterday when shot by a low-life. How many of us put our lives on the line every work day as law enforcement personnel do? Say a prayer for their safety, please.
Safety of bystanders was compromised. Bystanders do not have bulletproof vest provided by taxpayers. Best to apprehend at their house.
Amen to the praise of Metro!!! Thanks folks!!!
Regarding these criminals...throw them in jail forever.
I can't wait until their mothers start the usual drivel about how they were just starting to turn their lives around.
@mred Your the perfect example of no brain, no headache! Thanks for playing though.
"Best to apprehend at their house."

What house? Let these 2 just walk away and then invest time and money while these 2 scumbags are on the run to try and locate a lead on where they spend their nights? My vote for most asinine post of the year.

I was on the jury that convicted Ed Bennett, teen out of northern Utah, who with a buddy executed a young female clerk at a 7/11 (1980ish). His death sentence was commuted for inexplicable reasons by now-retired Judges on the Nv Supreme Court. His buddy was killed while incarcerated--after coping a plea because we (the jury) told his attorneys we'd convict him too--for knowingly robbing with intent to kill--didn't matter that he hadn't held the gun.
Youth is wasted on the young. You steal more with a ball point pen than with a gun, ask a dem.
Kind of hard firing their guns at Metro while bouncing up and down in their low rider...orale....
Makes me want to move to Idaho.
