- Nine of the biggest Las Vegas jackpots (5-23-2012)
A player hit the biggest jackpot in the casino, $17.3 million on the Megabucks slot machine, Friday night in Henderson.
The M Resort said on its Facebook page that the winning spin paid $17,329,817 on the Nevada statewide progressive jackpot.
The jackpot has been reset and currently stands at $10 million.
Officials at IGT, which manufactures the slot and pays out the progressives, say they are still gathering information this morning. The Sun will provided updated details as they become available.
The latest win came nearly two years after a woman hit a $12.7 million Megabucks jackpot Jan. 21, 2011, at the Aria. The record remains $39.7 million to a California software engineer March 21, 2003, at the Excalibur.

Congratulations to the lucky soul! Enjoy your new found wealth, may your dreams come true as far as you can now afford.
Blessings and Peace,
Star
Congratulations to the winner! Be prepared for meeting long lost "family" members!
Congrats!
Wonderful!! I hope it was a Vegas local that won!
(Please refresh my memory: Is this not a penny machine? I remember playing a Megabucks machine when they first came out and it was a penny denomination . Isn't the max bet on this something like $9 a spin? Maybe more???)
