Metro investigators find child injured in bus accident, siblings, had history of lack of supervision

Child welfare officials were well acquainted with a Las Vegas mother even before her arrest this week stemming from an incident in which her unsupervised 6-year-old son was hit by a school bus. A Metro Police report released Thursday morning indicated the boy and his five siblings have been the “focus of extensive Child Protection Services (CPS) investigations.” Kimberly Delacruz, also known as Kimberly Marie Russi, 31, was arrested Tuesday, a day after her son Josiah Delacruz was run over by a Clark County School District bus about 6:30 a.m. at North Las Vegas Boulevard and North Walnut Road. 1. 125 pages. Lock her up, don't let her out. The pages will just continue to grow and grow and grow. The kids are better suited with family members who can actually take care of them. Hate to see them go into the foster system to be jostled around though.

  2. Is this CPS publicly funded? And if they are perhaps it should be defunded on account you get the same results.
    Inaction!

  3. @casinokid,
The legal bar is really set high for the CPS to remove children from a home. Often the children deny any abuse/neglect, which then makes the case circumstantial to warrant removal.

  4. She was a main sparring partner for Marquez.

  5. Wow public aid dosent supply or pay for nannies??? The timing of this incident it not good inlight of the 8 year being beaten to death by his parents.System is damed if they do damed it they dont. People take RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR KIDS.

  6. More losers having kids they can't raise, support or nurture. A 6 year old launching rocks at cars? He's well on his way to the CCDC in 12 years unless someone rights this ship. Is there a father? Is he around? Does she work?

The breakdown of the family is just brutal. I hear about more and more single mom's in this town with multiple kids by different men. It's always the same story.."Now I've got me a good man". 2 months later he's gone and she's 4 months pregnant.

Imploring people to take responsibility for their kids is long gone. Painful to watch the breakdown of the family unit.

  7. You should have to apply for a license to have children.
