Wet conditions knocked out power for 2,000 valley residents

Moisture from rain caused two power outages in the Las Vegas Valley Thursday night that left approximately 2,000 customers without electricity, NV Energy officials said.

The outages began around 6:20 p.m. near Lindell Road and Sahara Avenue. The second occurred at 8 p.m. near Pecos Road and Washington Avenue.

Officials said power was restored to both areas shortly after 9 p.m.
