Are you tough enough to wear pink tonight? It’s the fifth performance of the 2012 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center, and proceeds benefit NFR’s contributions to the fight against cancer. The Charlie Daniels Band makes the music for the opening ceremony, and Terry Nettles performs the national anthem.
Here’s a photo gallery recap of Sunday, or Day 4, as captured by contributing photographer Tom Donoghue, and you’ll find a full report at our Las Vegas Sun colleague’s ringside blogs.
The excitement continues today in the Fan Fest Arena at the Las Vegas Convention Center with the Miss Rodeo America Horsemanship events in advance of the coronation of the new pageant princess Wednesday at MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theater.
The Crown Royal bull riders will be making late-night appearances in the Gold Buckle Zone at MGM Grand, and Dustin Bird and Paul Eaves will sign autographs in Mizuya’s lounge at Mandalay Bay.
We’ll be back Tuesday with tonight’s photo coverage by Tom.
