Injury crash
Two people were taken to a hospital after a crash involving three cars and a pedestrian at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bonanza Road on Friday night.
Metro Police said the collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a Chevrolet Malibu sedan traveling south on Martin Luther King Boulevard ran a red light. At the same time, pedestrian Roger Berg, 59, of Las Vegas was in the crosswalk.
Police said the Malibu crashed into a Hyundai sedan at the intersection and continued south, striking Berg as he was crossing the street. The Malibu came to a stop after hitting a third car that was stopped at the light.
Berg was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition. The driver of the Hyundai, Laura Rosales, 32, of North Las Vegas also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Metro Police are investigating the crash.
