Air Force investigating crash of drone aircraft in Nevada

The U.S. Air Force is investigating why an unmanned “hunter/killer” drone aircraft crashed Wednesday night in the Nevada Test and Training Range, about 120 miles north of Las Vegas. Nellis Air Force Base said today no one was injured in the crash of the remotely piloted MQ-9 Reaper, which happed in a remote area west of Hiko, in Lincoln County, which is 117 miles north of Las Vegas. The aircraft, assigned to the 57th Wing at Nellis, was participating in a combat training mission, the Air Force said. A board of officers is being convened to investigate the crash, officials ...

  2. So now I'm supposed to simply believe detailed reports of, "spy planes"? I like that. Sorta like my thinking done for me, so that I can be constantly frightened!!!But what would be even better is if these news orgs had let me know prior that drones are loosely tested in highly populated areas, or their close surroundings!!! Either that or just discount their abilities automatically by having them provide a warning label similar to cigarrettes: "This information reported as news is solely because of the efforts of the staffs and editors of this for profit business, and, consequently, other details may be of greater relevance!!!"
