North Las Vegas Police are no longer searching for a man wanted for allegedly abusing his foster son in 2008.

Marvie Hill, 37, is scheduled to appear Friday at the North Las Vegas Justice Court for a walk-through booking and then be released on a $40,000 bail that has been posted, North Las Vegas Police officials said.

A 19-year-old man who was under Hill’s care in 2008 had reported Hill to the North Las Vegas Detectives Bureau on Aug. 21, officials said. The man told police Hill had committed several acts of open and gross lewdness and abuse when he was 15 years old, officials said.

Two other people have been identified as alleged victims of Hill, and police indicated they were following up reports from several other potential victims. Officials said Hill had been a licensed foster parent, and potential victims appear to be males who were placed under his care.

Hill faces 20 counts of open and gross lewdness and one count of child abuse, officials said.

Officials urge anyone with information on the case to call North Las Vegas Police at (702) 633-9111 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
