Laughlin rollover kills driver, injures two children

A 32-year-old Pahrump man is dead after being ejected from his Toyota 4Runner in a single-vehicle rollover Monday evening in Laughlin.

The incident occurred about 8:17 p.m. on Casino Drive east of Needles Highway, according to a Metro news release issued Tuesday. The SUV was traveling east on Casino Drive, about 900 feet east of Needles Highway, when it veered onto a gravel shoulder. The vehicle then overcorrected, re-entered the roadway and started rolling.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two juvenile passengers, a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, Ariz.

The death marked the 78th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2012.
