Women in the United States need to take a very close look at what Paul Ryan advocates for our future if Mitt Romney and he are elected as president and vice president.
Paul Ryan voted against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. He opposes abortion rights even in cases of rape and incest or when the life of the mother is at stake — truly a pro-birther instead of a pro-lifer.
Ryan voted four times to defund Planned Parenthood, an organization that helps millions of women secure needed health care.
Does he care? Obviously not.
He favors outlawing some forms of contraception and is opposed to the requirement that health insurance pay for it. Ryan’s stance also could criminalize in vitro fertilization for couples unable to conceive in the usual way.
These are positions that both Romney and Ryan stand by.
