Work under way on Seafood Shack at Treasure Island

Construction has started on the Seafood Shack at Treasure Island, and it should only take about four weeks to finish, casino officials said.

It’s been only a couple of weeks since Isla Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar shut its doors at the end of July. That was no surprise, since Isla sat near Latin-themed Señor Frogs, which opened at Treasure Island this spring.

Workers began demolition in the old Isla space, and work is expected to be completed on the new Seafood Shack by mid September, said Michelle Knoll, TI’s senior vice president of communications.
