Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart at “Mystere” in Treasure Island on Sunday, May 27, 2012.

It’s all about girl power -- or, rather, Jennifer Lopez power -- this weekend with a J.Lo takeover of Las Vegas. With or without Casper Smart, her dancer boyfriend, J.Lo embarks on a nonstop Party Patrol while here for her tour stop at Mandalay Bay Events Center with fellow Latin superstar Enrique Iglesias.
First, Jenny From the Block parties at Wet Republic at MGM Grand during the day. Then after her show with Enrique, which includes opening act Frankie J instead of Wisin Y Yandel, she hosts an after-party at Pure in Caesars Palace. She’s reportedly pocketing $100,000 for appearances at both venues!
Jennifer Lopez
It’s her second visit to Mandalay Bay in recent weeks: She was here May 26 with ex-husband Marc Anthony for “Viva! The Chosen”, where she sizzled and shined brighter than the Luxor searchlight! Marc is back at Mandalay on Sept. 14.
Blonde beauty Jenny McCarthy, one-time Playboy cover girl, hosts tonight at 1 OAK in the Mirage. The model, actress and comedienne joins resident DJ Karma at the hotspot.
Add in shows with jazz singer Barbara Cook, comedienne Paula Poundstone and singers Colbie Caillat, Keri Hilson and Eva Simons, and it’s femme fatale weekend. Celine Dion also is in on the act because this is the weekend tickets go on sale for her New Year’s Eve, January and February shows at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace.
Top it off with the third annual Beach Bunny Swimwear model search at Encore Beach Club and sex doctor Susan Block with her porn star invasion at the Erotic Heritage Museum. This YouTube clip of her broadcasts is for mature audiences.
As George Hamilton and the drag-queen stars of “La Cage Aux Folles,” continuing through Sunday in Reynolds Hall at Smith Center for the Performing Arts, would say, “Slip on the high heels, tighten the corset, snap on the suspenders and stockings, brighten the lipstick and glam the eyeliner. We’re in for a rip-roaring roller-coaster ride.” Around here, we affectionately call it the Royal Robin Rundown:
