Chef pal Jon Sedler, well respected in the culinary world, is a big booster of the rooftop garden system, which you can check out here via YouTube. News on the technology came to light with the sudden spurt in farmers markets popping in the valley, the new farms in Pahrump and the decision by Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace to grow an herb and vegetable garden. Expect to see rooftop gardens popping up across the Strip, as well.
MEET MICHAEL MONDAVI: Winemaker Michael Mondavi, who was awarded the World of Food and Wine lifetime achievement award, hosts a grand wine tasting of his top-shelf libations at the Palazzo’s atrium gardens and waterfall Friday, and James Beard Award-winning chef Luciano Pellegrini hosts a pasta-making class at his restaurant Valentino in the Venetian on Saturday.
The events are part of the continuing Carnevale celebrations at the Venetian and Palazzo.
