Area of shooting
A 27-year-old man is dead after an early morning shooting in front of a North Las Vegas convenience store.
North Las Vegas Police were notified about 12:30 a.m. of the shooting at the El Paso Market at 3712 E. Owens Ave.
Officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to University Medical Center Trauma Center, where he died.
Detectives are not prepared at this time to release any suspect information, police said.
The shooting marks the seventh homicide of 2012 in North Las Vegas.
