The motorcyclist killed in a collision Wednesday at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Wigwam Parkway has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Las Vegas resident Mitchell Plamp, 20, was trying to make a left turn onto Wigwam Parkway early Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a southbound Buick, according to Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul. Plamp and his motorcycle then slid across the roadway, hitting a 27-year-old pedestrian and then a power pole. He then slammed into a traffic control box.
Plamp was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center.
Plamp’s death was the 12th accident-related death this year in Henderson.
