The Republicans had a field day over the “birther” issue. It seems like every day, for several years, the cry was for President Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate. Some conservatives are still not satisfied, even though it has been shown to be accurate by Hawaii.
The Democrats now have their own issue. This time it is thrown at Mitt Romney: Show your tax returns. Sen. Harry Reid has added fuel to the fire by implying that Romney did not pay taxes over a 10-year period.
Republicans say the claim lacks evidence. A Romney spokesman said Reid’s charge was baseless and below the belt. That might be accurate because the Republicans know what being baseless and below the belt is all about. They have mastered the art.
Reid’s claim can easily be dismissed. Simply show the returns. What is there to hide?
If Reid’s claims are false, Romney has a golden opportunity to make Reid look pretty silly.
There was another Harry, Harry Truman, who once said the “buck stops here.” Well, Mr. Romney, here’s your chance to show this Harry up and show him that the “buck stops here.”

So the idiotic behavior by one group means the other can be just as idiotic?
This is just one more reason why I am voting "None of the above" instead of for a bunch of 3rd graders.
"Implying?" That's what Blanner thinks Harry the Red did? He out & out stated it as a fact even though he said he had no proof. However, Blanner is right about one thing - Mitt should end this non-issue by releasing the info. This is but another way Dumbocrats are desperate to change the subject from Osama Obama's abysmal record on the economy, deficit and spending. Osama Obama was and remains unfit by experience to sit in the Oval Office. "White guilt & black pride" will not be enough this time around to keep him there. Come this November, vote Mitt!
Forget about the tax returns already. Romney's damaged himself pretty well just by dodging basic questions about them.
I say it's time to hire a private investigator to find the "detailed plans" Romney keeps saying he has, but are NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.
Seriously, do we need to hire a search party? Did he leave them behind on his disastrous 3-nation world tour?
The man hasn't laid out a single detailed economic plan, just vague promises. Aren't his supporters at least a little curious about what his actual agenda will be once in office?
Why won't the Romney Zombies ask for details?
Do they fear there's nothing behind the curtain?
This is Willard Romney's big chance to whack Reid and score some major political points going into the final stretch of the campaign. But for some unknown reason (???) the flip-flopper is not taking advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It's simple -- do what every presidential candidate has done since 1968: release 10-12 years of tax returns. Show us the money and the senate majority leader from Nevada will have egg on his face til the day he retires.
Romney has no chance of winning the election if he doesn't.
Robert you are Wrong
Reid has lied. And bulling and intimidation tactics should not be rewarded
In America you are innocent without proof. Reid must name his source
The IRS has already said there are no false statements or actions in the tax return
--------
Releasing taxes will not end the debate - Democrats bring up another red herring to divert and defect the debate on the economy -- 8.3 % unemployment 1.5% GDP growth
Democrats would further laugh and giggle about how they bullied and intimidated to get the meaningless returns
I reject the notion the Democrat Harry Reid using the Senate floor where he has full immunity from prosecution to spew out Lies should be rewarded for bullying
----
----
REJECT BULLYING
Send Reid to the ranch
Willard has a retirement account worth $100 mil?
Since annual contributions to this account are limited to $6000 (or so we thought) how is $100 mil mathematically possible? I smell a rat, a huge stinky rat.
It's time for teabag nation to face reality -- your lamebrain candidate is about to take the entire Party of No down with him.
I adhere to the belief if you have nothing to hide, then you will hide nothing. Gov Romney should have released more than his two most recent years' tax returns long ago. Just as his father said and did. I opine there is little of substance in any/all the returns except that he is a very rich and successful man who paid alot of taxes to Uncle. If not, IRS would have made sure he already did. Just like it is doing with Warren Buffett.
WRT Senator Harry and his comments on the matter on the floor of the Senate, it's a new low for him and politics. Harry has never released his returns when asked. He has owned a $1 MILLION suite at Watergate in Wash DC for years. He claims hard work and good investments allowed it. Really? Prove it, Harry show us your returns. The word is out that you are a corrupt, greedy, self-serving money grabbing politician. Prove otherwise.
Harry has a huge target on his back now. It's just a matter of time. He's finished politically. He crossed the line and he and everyone in politics know it.

Mitt Romney would like to tell us who he is and leave it at that. The fact that his current views seem to conflict with ones he's held in the past leaves many mystified about the man. He only adds to the mystery by refusing to release more tax returns. If Mitt wants us to trust him to be Commander-in-Chief, he'll have to trust voters ability to judge him based on facts other than his own self-assessment.
Reid should resign his majority leadership position if Romney does release the taxes and it shows that he paid taxes in the last 10 or 12 years (Reid story keeps change).
Reid probably has brought shame and disgrace upon the Senate for being an out-an-out pure 100% liar.
Or he is a complete idiot.
41 says " The fact that his current views seem to conflict with ones he's held in the past leaves many mystified about the man. "
Have to agree that we continue to be amazed at the flip-flops of Obama.
- When Obamacare was passed Obama said no to abortions - now abortions are covered by the new HHS rules.
- Obama campaigned in 2008 for the marriage act as the right religious based position - now he is for gay marriage
- Obama campaigned against using drones in the dead of night - now he routinely uses the drones all over Africa and the middle east - many times killing civilians
When you ask Romney a specific question, he always seems to have a non-specific answer, a deflection, or a blatant lie. Pinning him down on anything is pretty much guaranteed that you won't get anywhere to know anything specific about him.
You ask him about the economy, he don't answer, but points at some 59 point paper on his website and he urges people to go there and read it.
As it turns out, I don't have to read it. Non-biased sources have read it and are scratching their heads. Because none of it works. Except to give more tax breaks/subsidies to the rich, while at the same time making everyone else pay for it.
Now, it's his tax returns. Romney says he pays taxes. He says you need to believe him. He says he don't have to release them.
Going all the way back to 1994 and subsequently later when he ran for Governor of Massachusetts, he never releases his tax returns.
Why is that?
It's because he has something to hide.
Because he will be revealed to be the tax cheat he is.
By not releasing them, he declares there is no transparency to anything he says or does. No fairness.
Don't get me wrong. Politicians lie. But blatantly like this? We're supposed to soak in this malarky and still vote for him?
I don't think so. The American voters out here all cannot develop collective Romnesia.
Romney is toast. He will be crushed on November 6, 2012.
Releasing his returns would definately end the debate, but it would more than likely end his candidacy also. Ann has already said to the press "It's our turn". Does that mean that everyone gets a turn in the White House?
Harry Reid is not running for President. This shows the true idiot here is Cadaver.
Oh.....so a US Senator...especially one that is the leader of the Democrats....can stand up on the Senate floor and tell a 100% lie and he is exempt from being consider an idiot because he is not running for the presidency?????
That only proves there are at least 2 idiots. Reid and people who think Reid is not an idiot.
Reid has stolen page one out of the republican playbook and they are angry. Good job Harry, now keep rubbing their noses in it until Mittens releases more of his tax returns.
Does Romney actually believe he can just waltz through the entire presidential campaign without having to do what every candidate has done since his father set the standard in 1968? If so, he's either incredibly arrogant or extremely stupid, or both.
What president or presidential candidate held Swiss and offshore accounts? In all the years Romney ran for office he never turned over his tax returns but would challenge his opponents to show their own. Ann Romney said, "We've given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and how we live our life." Does "let them eat cake" sound familiar?
Romney knew for years this tax issue would remain a problem and has done nothing to resolve it. It was a problem when he ran for the Senate in 1994, again when he ran for governor in 2002, and to date has released only 2010 and 2011. What is he hiding?
We've had Bank of America laundering drug cartel money and Barclay's minipulating loan rates, what's to stop Mitt Romney from participating in such programs? We'll never know if he doesn't release his forms.
Mr. Blanner noted the squealing birthers and there are those accusing our president of undermining the government because he is a secret Muslim, but the shoe on the other foot bends these people completely out of shape.
I can't believe you people are still arguing over this moron. The Banksters have both horses running and it is pretty clear they will go with Barrack for another 4.
But keep on acting as if anything we do matters, lol.

It's just amazing that VernosB Brancos with all his command of the information and his native intelligence would even think for one minute that the Lying Obama is doing an adequate or for that matter even an acceptable job as President. Obama calls upon Bill Clinton to nominate him for another term. Obama knows that Clinton had all the talent in the world to get business done in the White House. Clinton even forged a deal with the irascible Newt Grinderswitch. Together they fashioned many bills in Congress simply by mutual agreement. Obama has failed to show any such leadership. Obama either won't compromise or he is too stupid to know the difference between his job and a schoolmarm's duties.
Harry Reid is no fool. This is another calculated and shrewd move on his part. Look at how he caused the Republicans to choose their worst candidate to face him in his 2010 Senate race. He has painted Mitt Romney into a corner. Mr. Romey looks suspicious by refusing to release more tax returns. Even some Republican governors have called for him to release them. But some of the things in those returns could potentially be public-relation nightmares for him. In short, Mr. Romney is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. Shrewd move Harry!
Let's face it, if you or I ran for President we would expect to show our tax-returns to the public to show that we paid all our taxes and we have nothing shameful to hide in 'em. Why does Willard Mitt Romney think he is so much better than us that he doesn't have to?
The cavalry has arrived to help Romney.
First Senator Graham, then Reince Preibus have called Senator Reid a liar.
Next is for Romney to show up on Fox News to get Hannitized.
Not gonna work though. The pressure is being amped up right now. You can run, Romney, but you can't hide.
No tax returns?
No votes.
It's as simple as that.
Cough 'em up, Romney.
Robert.....Great letter.
HARRY REID KNOCKED ROMNEY FOR A LOOP!!!
Romney is down for the count.
It looks like Romney is OUT!!!
HARRY REID IS THE MAN!!!
boftx asks "So the idiotic behavior by one group means the other can be just as idiotic?"
It's mandatory in order to offset the idiot "birthers" and Fox "News" viewers.
List of people more believable than Mitt Romney;
Richard Nixon
Charles Ponzi
Bernie Madoff
Scooter Libby
Milli Vanilli
Pinocchio
You can't make this stuff up. Birth certificates, tax returns. Next thing you know, we'll be asking about foreign policy experience.
Foreign policy experience.? Now you're getting picky.
Romney did pretty good in Europe looking out the backside of Downing Street and pissing off the Jews while visiting Israel. I'm surprised he didn't tell polish jokes in Prague.
Harry Reid isn't the only one calling out Romney.
The voters want to know.
Romney needs to man up and show his taxes.
No more hiding.
If Mitt Romney wants to end this charade all he has to do is produce his taxes like his father before him did.He has to be hiding something or he would have done it long ago.Don't blame Sen.Harry Reid for saying Gov.Romney paid no taxes for ten years,he may know something we don't know.Show us the money.
"What president or presidential candidate held Swiss and offshore accounts?"
Mr. Branco:
It's a bogus question as an argument. Why? Who as president was a Mormon? There always has to be a first. Just like President Obama.
CarmineD
"Don't blame Sen.Harry Reid for saying Gov.Romney paid no taxes for ten years,he may know something we don't know"
Mr. Pizzo:
Read his actual comments. He says in no uncertain terms that he doesn't know if it is true. That's the reason he will not divulge his source, if there is even is one. It's dirty politics under the veil of legitimacy because it was conducted on the Senate floor. Only serves to impugn and demean the conduct of doing the peoples' business. If Harry wants to do something of value for the American people, he should pass a budget. Harry and the Senate hasn't since 2009.
CarmineD
"Foreign policy experience.? "
He got Waesa's endorsement for President. Remember Lech Waesa? The Polish politician. Trade-union organizer, and human-rights activist. A charismatic leader, who co-founded Solidarity, the Soviet bloc's first independent trade union, and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983, and served as President of Poland between 1990 and 1995.
Why? Remember Obama's open mic gaffe with Medvedev? It was a double cross by Obama of the US defense alliance with Poland against Russia. Liberal media gave the president a huge pass on it. Never covered it.
CarmineD
It's quite amusing. You have all of these Republican's calling Harry Reid a liar.
Yet John McCain, a Republican that has seen 23 years of Romney's tax returns isn't saying a word.
It speaks volumes.
Carmine,"He says in no uncertain terms that he dosen't know if it is True",(Sen. Harry Reid).
All the more reason Gov. Romney should produce his tax returns and clear this matter up.Then we can move on and discuss the real issues concerning our country, simple.
Mr. Pizzo:
I agree Gov Romney should have. But that is no excuse for Harry's despicable behavior on the Floor of the Senate.
"The word is out Mr. Pizzo that you are the biggest dummy on the Sun blog. And have been for as long as you have been posting here. I don't know if it is true. It may not be for all I know. If it isn't Mr. Pizzo, release your IQ score, college transcripts, and college board scores so we know the truth."
The above is called slander and defamation of character. And Harry did it on the Floor of the Senate.
CarmineD
It goes without saying, or should, that I don't believe what I wrote about you Mr. Pizzo. And I apologize to you and others if it appears in any way that I do. I used the excerpt as an illustrative example of what Harry said and did about Gov Romney's reputation and character using the same words and langauge he did.
CarmineD
Carmine,Useing me as a example is a cheap shot. You of all people should not take this little hobby we all have as commenters so seriously.
Here's what Harry said Mr. Pizzo:
"The word is out that you didn't pay any taxes for 10 years."
"Now, do I know that that's true? Well, I'm not certain,"
Doesn't feel good when it's personal does it Mr. Pizzo? That's why it's called slander and defamation of character. There is no defense against it. Except a civil lawsuit. Is it worth it?
It shows that Harry has no sense of moral decency. No ethics.
You're personally offended and I apologized to you and others and explained the context of my comments and reasoning. It was to make a point.
Harry didn't apologize. Should!
Imagine how Romney and his friends and family feel? Now you can.
CarmineD
Mr. Pizzo:
Slander and defamation of character is a very serious offense. And should be taken so. Harry of all people should know this.
CarmineD
Carmine, like I said useing me for an example was a cheap shot. Changing the subject of what you said does not change anything. We all can get our point across without name calling or personal attacks. One last thing you and I are not running for any political office,so we are not subject to public scrutiny.
My sincere apologies Mr. Pizzo. I'm very sorry for offending you.
CarmineD
"One last thing you and I are not running for any political office,so we are not subject to public scrutiny."
Disagree. Once we both post on a public forum, we are subject to public scrutiny by all those who do.
CarmineD
Carmine,"I used the excerpt as an Illustrative example". If I may suggest when using a Illustrative example, try using your own name,or a member of your own family. I'm not running for any political office.
Carmine, I do except your apology.
Carmine: You can accuse me of not paying taxes for the last 10 years.
I will release my tax returns.
Why won't Romney?
The fact checking group Politifact rates Romney with many half-truths, falsehoods, and "Pants On Fire" regarding his statements. I wouldn't by a used car from him without a car fax, maybe two!
Obma has media shills creating made up controversy.... definitely keeps his sheep sitting on pins and needles. But... from his point of view anything that keeps his disciples from focusing on his failures and lack of leadership is a plus.
Carmine: sometimes you let your mouth run before your brain is involved. Your words indicate that it would be okay with you to elect a possible tax cheat to be President of the United States. Why won't you insist that Romney provide his past Taxes. I am sure you would agree that there must be a more significant reason than what has been given for not proving to the American People that he is in deed fit to be our Leader. You must also know that whatever Senator Harry Reid said on the floor of the Senate is not subject to libel. If that was possible, don't you know Romney would have filed for legal action a long time ago? The law suit would include several of the other Republican Presidential candidates that talked about this problem during the primaries.
Your hatred for President Obama has caused you to close your mind to common sense. Name one other President that could have hidden money in an off shore accounts and known tax havens and you would still be willing to have serve as President of the United States. There is something wrong with this picture.
Let's hope the truth will emerge before you and others like you have cause to regret that you refused to open your eyes. If nothing is found out of order, he would probably win "hands down". Let the best man win based on issues and policy, but not on someone refusing to show that his money is not tainted or just might come from a foreign country.
"Carmine: sometimes you let your mouth run before your brain is involved.."
No, Mr. Warrick, it just appears that way because I think so quickly you can't keep up with me.
The WH today, through Jay Carney, distanced itself from Reid's comments. When questioned further about his comments today in Las Vegas, Harry became agitated. He knows the tide of public and political opinion has turned against him on the issue as well as his key allies.
WRT Romney suing, he won't. It's an exercise in futility. And as a Mormon, Romney won't bring the negative publicity, sure to follow by the media, on the religion with legal infighting. Not with the religion finally having a chance at national importance with a possible presidency win.
I opine that Congress will take actions to preempt its members from future such character assassinations in the chambers. It will be called the Reid Rule in Harry's ignominious honor.
CarmineD
WRT my hatred/liking for Obama, we're talking about Harry and Romney. Not Obama. What was that comment about mouth engaging before the mind? It fits well.... for you.
CarmineD
"but not on someone refusing to show that his money is not tainted or just might come from a foreign country."
Isn't that why taxpayers' file their returns yearly with the IRS? Isn't that what the IRS is for? Not Harry's job. He should stick to passing a budget. The Senate under his tutelage hasn't since 2009.
To my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong, IRS has not taken any action against Romney for any violations of tax laws and returns. IRS has taken numerous actions against Warren Buffett for his returns. And the disputes and taxes paid are still under review and consideration. Have been for years. If it were anyone else [other than Buffett like Wesley Snipes], he/she and their businesses would be in violation of IRS code and subject to accounts frozen, liens placed against their assets, closures and incarceration.
CarmineD
"The fact checking group Politifact rates Romney with many half-truths, falsehoods, and "Pants On Fire" regarding his statements. I wouldn't by a used car from him without a car fax, maybe two!"
Mr. Warrick:
Here's what your source says about Harry's comments about Romney's taxes. You may want to reconsider that used car buy. It may be the best value you'll get for your money. That is if you can afford used cadillacs. The Romney's preferred mode of transportation.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/...
CarmineD
Mr. Warrick:
Here's an excerpt from the source you quoted:
"Outside commentators, including liberals, have slammed Reid as well. The New York Times' Frank Bruni called Reid's charges part of an "unbecoming, corrosive game." "Spew first and sweat the details later, or never," Bruni wrote. "Speak loosely and carry a stick-thin collection of backup materials, or none at all. That's the M.O. of the moment, familiar from the past but in particularly galling and profuse flower of late."
"Many readers asked us to put Reid's claim to the Truth-O-Meter. We conclude that Reid, despite repeating the claim on at least two occasions, has not produced any solid evidence it is true."
Save your nickels and save your dimes. That used Romney cadillac may be yours some day [unless Harry beats you to it].
CarmineD
And more Mr. Warrick [from your source]:
"Reid has produced no evidence to back up his claim other than attribution to a shadowy anonymous source. Romney has denied the claim, and tax experts back him up, saying that the nature of Romney's investments in Bain make it highly unlikely he would have been able to avoid paying taxes altogether -- especially for 10 years.
Reid has made an extreme claim with nothing solid to back it up. Pants on Fire!"
You should really read the sources you provide. It would save me the time and trouble of having to refute you with a dozen posts/excerpts from and about it.
CarmineD
My apologies Mr. Warrick, I should have addressed the excerpts to Mr. Tanner.... AND YOU. Both of you are in need of a tax education.
CarmineD
THANK GOD FOR HARRY REID!!!
YES, Romney hiding his taxes IS A HUGE ISSUE.
This issue alone sunk Romney.
YES, ROMNEY IS WORSE THAN BUSH!
Keep up the good work Carmine! We don't want any false statements flying around like, the President was born in Kenya, there are 78 communists in Congress, or that Hillary's assistant is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Go Harry !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Willie.....Great comment.
I would only add that republicans INVENTED LYING
and republicans CAN'T STOP LYING.
These republican snakes in the grass
FOOL NO ONE!
Harry Reid kicked their butts and they can't
stop crying.
Greedy republicans don't like the feel of that
big DEMOCRATIC BOOT and they cry like little
babies.
THANK GOD FOR HARRY REID!!!
"Keep up the good work Carmine! "
Mr. Tanner:
Will do. You won't hear those falsehoods you mentioned from me. Just the facts.
Teamster:
What happened? Dirty Harry endorsed Mitt Romney. Told you so during the Superbowl aftermath. It's half-time and we're coming back!
CarmineD
Carmine says, "You won't hear those falsehoods you mentioned from me. Just the facts."
Yes Carmine, we don't hear about those falsehoods from you, and that's the problem. Republican falsehoods are OK, but one Democrat puts out a possible false claim and you're all over it with claims of slander.
"one Democrat puts out a possible false claim and you're all over it with claims of slander."
A possible falsehood. Surely you jest. It's rated pants on fire. There is zero credibility to Harry's allegations. ALL, that is ALL tax and financial experts, Democrats, liberals, Washington Post and NY Times columnists tell us that the possibilty of Romney paying no taxes in any one year is extremely remote to non-existent. The possibility of paying no taxes for 10 years is non-existent to the nth power.
One exception to the above: Nancy Pelosi. She believes Harry's lies are a fact. Consider the source. She made over $5 Million by trading on inside info, a result of her Speaker position, on a credit card/bank company. As did others like her.
CarmineD
Carmine Here's some other Romney lies you can check out;
"I saw my father march with Martin Luther King."
President Barack Obama is "ending Medicare as we know it.
Says in the 2012 State of the Union address, President Obama "didn't even mention the deficit or debt."
The U.S. military is at risk of losing its "military superiority" because "our Navy is smaller than it's been since 1917. Our Air Force is smaller and older than any time since 1947."
"We're only inches away from no longer being a free economy."
President Obama's health care law "represents a government takeover of health care."
President Obama's lawsuit claims it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state's early voting period.
President Obama was saying success "is the result of government," not "hard-working people," when he said, "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
Says stimulus money went to buy electric cars from Finland as a payback to Obama supporters.
" 'Obamacare' puts the federal government between you and your doctor."
"Obamacare adds trillions to our deficits and to our national debt."
"Obamacare " means that for up to 20 million Americans, they will lose the insurance they currently have, the insurance that they like and they want to keep."
Says President Barack Obama has opened up no new trade relationships with other nations.
Says Barack Obama "never worked in the private sector" before he was elected president.
President Obama "went around the world and apologized for America."
All rated Pants On Fire or False by Politifact!
Makes Harry look like Abe Lincoln.
This thread is about Romney's tax returns.
The man is squeaky clean. He's so honest, he tells the truth even when it hurts him politically. A welcomed change for politicians. He doesn't have any skeletons in the closet. He doesn't even have a closet. As Gov of Mass, he waived his salary for 4 years so there would be extra money in the budget to pay his staff more. And as President he will probably do the same.
If he's good enough for Clint Eastwood, he's good enough for America.
CarmineD
Has anyone considered that Sen. Harry Reid's source about Gov.Mitt Romney's taxes could have come from Sen. John McCain thru a thrid party? What Sen. Reid said about ex- Gov.Romney not paying taxes for 10 years, are pretty strong comments. Sen. Reid is a very smart man, I can not see him saying such a thing without a reliable source in the background.Could it be we have a deep throat some where out there, such as we had in the Watergate scandle.
I don't even care if it's true. I'm just glad to see some unsubstantiated crap thrown at the RNC, aka FOX "News" , for a change.
Mr. Pizzo:
Romney made $20 million in 2010. He paid $3 million in taxes. Romney paid more taxes in one year than most Americans pay in their entire lifetimes. Once his 2011 taxes are released, it will probably show that he paid the same or more in taxes.
Does Romney employ a cadre of lawyers and accountants to minimize his tax liablity. Of course he does just like all the other rich and famous people do. It that legal? Of course it is, because if not, IRS would go after him, just as it did and still does with Warren Buffett. Buffett is in arrears with his tax payments to IRS going back to the mid 90's.
The likelihood of not paying taxes on $20 million in income for one year is remote to non-existent. The likelihood on not paying taxes on $20 million every year for 10 years is a galactic absurdity. Don't take my word, read what EVERYBODY, that is EVERYBODY, who knows anything about taxes in the USA says about Reid's allegations.
Reid is finished. He's history. The democratic party will have nothing to do with him when the dust finally settles on this issue. And it will. Nothing. He will be persona non-grata.
I opine that Congress will pass a parliamentary rule preventing false unfounded character assassinations by its members on the floors. It will be called the Reid Rule in his ignominious honor.

Carmine,"Romney made $20 million in 2010 he paid $3 million in taxes. He paid more in taxes in one year than most people pay in their lifetime"
When you make that kind of money you pay more taxes, that's a given. When a person is that rich they do hire the best lawyers and accoutants to get the best advice on tax advantages to pay the least amount of taxes under the law.
Every person in the U.S.can declare that Gov. Mitt Romney paid his fair share of taxes in 2010 because he proved it. Until he produces more than the years 2010,and 2011,taxes, this debate will continue.I don't believe that Gov. Romney cheated on his taxes. You are correct the IRS would have been all over him if he was.
This debate resembles the birther issue with Pres.Barack Obama. Once he produced his full birth certificate, the crying stopped.
Good evening Sun commenters,Enjoy your comments over the next week.My wife and I will be vacationing, good luck to all.
Sam, have a great time with your Wife on vacation.
Keep an eye and ear on the news. Romney will likely announce his VP selection in the next day or so. Look for Paul Ryan to get the nod.
Nothing out on the taxes....yet.

Carmine says "I opine that Congress will pass a parliamentary rule preventing false unfounded character assassinations by its members on the floors. It will be called the Reid Rule in his ignominious honor."
I agree with the premise but maybe it should be called;
The Michelle Bachman Rule, or
The Adam West Rule, or
The Joe Walsh Rule, or
The Joe Wilson Rule, or...........
Reid has to be PROVEN WRONG before earning the title!
Mr. Tanner:
I suggest you read the comments that Bernie Goldberg made about Harry's conduct on the floor of the Senate. And then reconsider your opinion.
