One dead in SUV crash on I-15 near Moapa

Two helicopters arrived at the scene of a crash on Interstate 15 near Moapa, northeast of Las Vegas, where one person is dead and six are critically injured.

A gold Ford Expedition turned over on the center median around 6:50 p.m., according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The two helicopters airlifted the six people to University Medical Center, highway officials said.

No other cars were involved in the crash, officials said.

The southbound roadway of I-15 has been shut down while authorities investigate the crash, officials said. No further information was immediately available.
