Nevada Assemblyman Joe Hogan arrested on DUI charge

Assemblyman Joseph Hogan, D-Las Vegas

Assemblyman Joseph Hogan, D-Las Vegas

Assemblyman Joe Hogan, D-Las Vegas, was arrested and charged with a DUI, Las Vegas police said Friday.

Hogan was arrested Wednesday at 9:20 p.m., at 2208 Tam Drive, near Sahara Avenue and Industrial Road.

Hogan did not respond immediately to a request for comments. Police provided no further information.

A Democrat first elected in 2004, Hogan was a member in 2009 and 2011 of the Assembly Ways and Means Committee.

Hogan is up for re-election in November. The seat strongly favors a Democratic candidate but he faces a primary challenge from Jonathan Friedrich, an activist on homeowners association issues.

  1. Drinking?

Well as a democrat I would also say joe has got to go. It was poor jugement that he did that and well it's embarassing as well.

  2. Politico's! They enact laws, then act as though they are immune to them! It may be the first time he was collared, but it's doubtful he never did it before. Throw the book at the moron!

  3. I Mr. Hogan's statement was "I will pass a law forbidding the police to arrest me or any other in this Drunk City while naked". He said that merely to boost the tourist trade.
