One person was taken to the hospital Thursday after a Henderson apartment kitchen caught fire.
Firefighters responded to a blaze at a two-story apartment on Eastern Avenue around 6 p.m., Henderson Fire Department officials said.
The occupant of the home discovered the fire, evacuated the home and called authorities, officials said.
Fire investigators ruled the fire caused an estimated $25,000 damage and the cause of the fire accidental, officials said.
