Motorcycle crash
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a 50-year-old motorcyclist in critical condition was airlifted to the hospital after he crashed Wednesday night on State Route 160.
The single motorcycle crash happened around 7 p.m. on State Route 160, known as Blue Diamond Highway, which leads to Pahrump, highway officials said.
Highway officials say it appears the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, officials said.
The roadway was shut down for a brief time for the helicopter to land, and the man was transported to University Medical Center, officials said.
The scene remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
