Woman rescued after falling 20 feet while hiking at Red Rock

Hiker falls

A woman who plummeted about 20 feet while hiking at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area was rescued Thursday night, Metro Police said.

The woman, in her mid-20s, fell about 6:55 p.m. on the Pine Canyon Trail, police said.

She was airlifted out of the canyon and taken to University Medical Center with a head injury, police said

Further details about the woman’s condition and the incident were not immediately available.
