Nevada receives grant to expand veterans cemetery

CARSON CITY – A $3.4 million federal grant has been awarded to Nevada to expand the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Gov. Brian Sandoval announced.

It will allow development of an additional 17.3 acres with 4,801 burial plots. In addition there will be construction of administration buildings, roads, landscaping and a committal shelter.
